To all the idiots in the comments, the idea isn't to do this in a survival scenario, but to make these before you venture into the woods and to learn to be creative in the event of a genuine shtf scenario. Make these kinds of things out of household items you have on hand, instead of buying the really expensive shit. And make a go bag with things like this that you take with you everywhere you go.

Everyone's complaining about this being impractical if you're lost in the woods - fair enough, but for most of us watching TH-cam what's Way more likely is we end up homeless. Can't speak for this trick specifically, but a lot of these things involving items that'd be weird to have while lost hiking but cheap to buy from a store, they're really tips for surviving outside when you know where you are and where the nearest shops are, but you don't have a roof or a whole lot of cash.
I think what people are complaining about is it’s not really practical when someone’s in this situation and they’re out there in the wilderness , they’re not gonna have access to one of these little cheese wheels and in general, you’re not gonna find anything like that out in the wilderness but yeah if you end up, going to the grocery store, yeah pick a couple up. Make sure you save them.
We didn’t put em out they were used to start a big bonfire over which we cooked dinner for a troop of maybe 20 plus parent leaders and chaparrones- all female “doin it for ourselves”.
If you saved the lid from the tuna can just set it on top of the fire. If not then flip it upside down to smother it. Saving the lid also helps keep soot from rubbing of on things.
Love the innovative use of the casing for the cheese. That would have ended up being rubbish and to make and use in the future. ❤ We use to make something similar for camping trips
As practice shows, such containers can burn for 2-3 hours, larger ones can burn for up to 5 or even 8 hours. I recommend taking a special purified paraffin. Then it will be possible to cook food on it or even light a fire indoors, there will be no smoke or soot from such paraffin. This thing is very practical in bad conditions

It's actually wax, not plastic so its very similar to a candle :) the fire burns the wax first before burning the cardboard so its like you get double the time
