    Deng Xiaoping's strategy:
    1. Attract foreign factories
    2. Adopt their knowhow
    3. Adopt their technologies
    4. Create Chinese brands
    5. Venture out globally
Results: China is today the world's 2nd largest economy, largest trading nation, 130 countries have China as their largest trading partner, 90% of all cranes in the world are in China and the list goes on and on and on
    Modi's strategy:
    1. Talk
    2. Boast
    3. Blame Congress
    4. Target China
    5. Talk more
Results: After several years, DENY EVERYTHING, never admit to the old talk, talk new ones so people will forget the old ones

China have easier time because their past decision was correct.
China chooses Revolution while India have small reformation
China have won World War2, Dispel the UN army in NK, and helping Vietcong won the war, While India only won 1 war against Pakistan with the help of Soviet Union
China choose to embrace and commit to their allies while India playing games with 2 Superpower with their Non align movement
China choose to be self reliant while India begging every country to sent them foreign Aid
I think comparing China and India won't help India very much. Indian government always make statement that India problem always external, it's always US,UK, China and Pakistan that make trouble, they never evaluate themself.

      Xi's strategy:
      1. Ruin the 'China' brand to the majority of your customers to ruin "5. Venture out globally"
      2. As you lose their markets, behave even more reclusive, antagonistic, and openly side with those attacking and waging war on them to isolate yourself further.
      3. As you single handedly wreck the booming economy Deng lined up for you and handed over on a silver platter, blame 'the rest of the world'
      4. To "smooth things over" post a new 'Map of the world according to China' that shows you own everything remotely close to (or even hundreds of miles away from) China. Make sure you to include some of the land that belongs to your "allies" as belonging to China.
      5. As your abilities as a leader come naturally into question, and your expansionist policies come to roost collapsing your economy, consider starting a war. Without starting a war your poor leadership is almost certain to be replaced. If you start a war, many of the peons that exist to serve you will die, but that is a price you are willing to pay. Maybe something will surprisingly crumble your way, but if not, you get replaced- which would have happened anyway if you didn't start the war.
Xi has set China up for failure and for their rival, India, to start eating China's lunch. The only thing holding back India is India in almost all spheres... Human growth, corrupt policies, and politics showing the biggest customers in the World that not only should they divest from China, but India is not the right place to put those resources in place of China.

    Advantages of India:
1: The population is relatively young
    2: English ability
3: Good relations with the West
4: The salary is relatively cheap
    China’s advantages:
    1: Better education and discipline
2: The infrastructure is relatively good
3: The government has strong decision-making ability

      India's advantages aren't really advantages.
      1. If the young population isn't utilised, then when they all become old, and birth rate falls, the number of employable people drops significantly.
      2. Most Indians can't speak good enough English. Unless they are from the top cities, most Indians are horrible at speaking English due to overreliance on local languages
      3. Good relations with the west are overrated. Why develop indigenously when you can import it from US/Eu?

The population is young but the education standard in most institutes is very bad. Professors don't want to learn new skills to teach their students. In most universities today, students are taught the same old thing the older generation studied. On the other hand, there are way too many students applying in the top institutes with a very low acceptance rate, but the number of applicants now is also slowly decreasing. And the reason is they will mostly get jobs in the private sector and maybe they will be laid off without any notice.

I believe that what distinguishes China's development over the past 30 years is governance. The Communist Party of China (not the Communist Party of just the Chinese people, but of all China's people) has governed through consultation and well-reasoned, science-based policies that seek real results. These policies are experimental, adaptable and based on harsh, truth-seeking, scientific evaluation that rejects political dogma. Because of this persistent results-focused approach, China has been remarkably successful. Success is not an accident waiting to happen.

Truth. The CPC is a highly meritocratic organization that competes strongly among itself, and each Chinese province is akin to a major EU state like Germany. Their governors compete for talent and growth, and the best polices get rolled out nationally. Plus, China actually started getting serious about halting corruption. Finally, apparently, the Chinese government does more citizen surveys than anyone else, so they are very responsive to what citizens actually want, like reducing game time for their kids.

India's trade protectionism is serious. Large foreign companies that have invested in India for decades have left India one after another, and the Indian government has used various excuses to deprive them of the profits they made in India. If this situation does not change, India becoming the world's factory will be an impossible dream.

India said they would leapfrog industrialization directly into services, and India gets a fair amount of money this way. The problem is that their exceedingly low overall education level means there's very little value add or internal services development. As a result, Indian global services are bottom tier coding and especially call center work. Call center is especially vulnerable to transfer, as all one needs is a telephone and someone who speaks English. China is building world-leading AI and has excellent voice recognition & real-time translation. Combining AI with voice recognition and voice control could completely decimate India call centers with fully-automated "lights out" AI "call centers" in a few short years.
As for India being the world's factory, that's also impossible. China became the world's factory when nobody else had the same labor pool and infrastructure, and they've advanced the state of the art to fully-automated "lights out" robo-factories based on real-time private 5G networks. Plus, China is pushing SEA, Africa, and LatAm (each bloc is just as big as India) to be more competitive via BRI investment. In effect, India needs to compete with China at the high end, *and* 3 very hungry Chinas at the low end. India withdrew from RCEP because competing with China & ASEAN was too much. Imagine what happens if China signs a FTA with Africa, and another FTA with LatAm.

I am an Indian and I have been watching the growth of both India and China since 2003. What I noticed is Indias GDP was only growing for sometimes, not the standard of living for the common people or the infrastructure to connect all the people and do businesses with each state. The exact opposite is china they started connecting all their remote cities with high speed railways ,roads and bridges which helped the movement of goods and people which fascilitated their Export to world market and becoming the numer one hub for all the manufacturing goods.
Also, when we boast as a one of the biggest Democratic country after US, it has not brought any economical developments to common people of India except for few big Business families aligned with Modi and his party. Foreign investments are at it lowest bc of too much government interventions and restrictions and aligning with west too much.
And lastly, the politics is soo dirty that all parties are still using the old British tactics of " divide and rule policy " just to win elections and come to power. All the political parties are soo focussed on either winning elections or keeping the elected members with their party to keep the majority in Parliament. So they dont have any time to look for the real development of Human index for the common people. 😢

The reason why India is very poor and CHina is very rich , is a cultural thing , and nothing to do with The Americans.. China invested in their society quality of life (which is the TRUE DEMOCRACY) and India did not.. What is good about "democracy" if the country don't invest on its people? If they don't improve the quality of life of its citizens?
IS FAR BETTER , to live in a so called "dictatorship " like India claims CHina is , but that cares about its people needs and works very hard improving the quality of their people lives.. than to be a FAKE democracy like India is ,and don't give a damnn about the quality of life of their people.. and allow their cities to look , like a shithole , with animals excrement everywhere.

Chinese government do cares about its people ,create jobs , protect their civilians ,make their cities safe and protect their citizens and develop their cities . Indian government use most of their money to buy weapons and corruption. Majority of Chinese people trust in their government and their opinion of their government is very high.. Indians in the other hand knows their government is corrupt and doesn't care about them. Indians are supersticious and had a big EGO , Chinese in the other hand are humble and practical.. India have no chance to ever become a real economic power or developed until the government change its aptitude towards its own people and towards CHina too. THe future for India is CHina , and Not US.. antagonizing china , will not help India at all ,to become a super economy. Moody is a Bad president for India . Indians needs a President like Xi Jinping , a Leader like MADURO , this are Leaders that do care about its people . and do care about the future. that seek to create bridges with all the world , instead of creating enemies. THis does not means China is perfect.. But they have one amazing ability , and that is , that they imitate what works , the chinese are very practical and do not attach to the past.. This is a major Huge Problem that also face the Dictator Putin , that Not only India have , but backwards gas station Russia too.. India under Moody and Russia under Putin are perfect example of how Failure leadership can ruin their countries. Both India and Russia and failure economies , because they both live in the past.. in the traditions and never modernize their their culture. To give you an example of how smart China is.. They embraced the American culture , they imitate the most popular business that Americans have , like Apple , like US entertainment industry ,that influence the entire world ,they copy it and remake it , better in their own way. CHinese billionaires changed their own Chinese names ,and adopted English names. and is mandatory English at schools ,. so to make it easier to do business with the west. China is a forward thinking , forward looking economy. Imitate the Good things ,that your competition is doing and avoid their mistakes ,the bad things they doing ,that doesn't work. THis is why Russia and India are so outdated and so Poor nations , they live in the past and never Modernize their culture or ways of thinking. Get rid of your religion , and your culture and even your language , if it doesn't help your country ,to become more stronger and competitive in the planet.. Religion that works , is the one that doesn't interfere in your economy development and that put in the first place the quality of life of your society. What India and Russia are doing doesn't work.

Just look at how Southeast Asia was built by China, this region has also supported China's development in the past with their bamboo network and in the future, Southeast Asia is unofficially also part of Greater China. The reason why India is poor and CHina is rich , is a cultural thing , combined with ideology.
Chinese feel proud about their past ,when they were the world economic major power, Indians hate their past.
Chinese government do cares about its people ,create jobs , protect their civilians and develop their cities . THis does not means China is perfect.. But they have one amazing ability , and that is , that they imitate what works , the chinese are very practical and do not attach to the past.. This is a major Huge Problem that Not only India have , but Russia too.. They are a failure economies ,because they live in the past.. And never modernize their culture.

Mao saved a collapsing China then unified all of the people using Communism; got rid of the Class/Caste system, gender inequality, superstitions, Cony Capitalism, private land tycoons; then led the whole country focus on education and trained the world's largest skilled workforce. Deng then reformed to Confucian-Socialist Republic with Meritocracy and created the Economic Miracle. Xi inherited both Mao & Deng's legacies and took Mao's idea of Unity and Deng's economic miracle even further with more reforms in governance/education/science/research/development/social services/poverty alleviation; all the massive infrastructure projects that connect the entire country and its people together which vastly improved people's Quality of Life and greatly boosted businesses as well as market efficiencies. All of these, contributed to China's lightning speed growth in PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) GDP, which is the most accurate reference model to measure a country's true economy as it reflects real Economic Performance & Market Efficiency, both translate to more Economic Upturns and faster wealth distribution and the people steadily become richer, and that created the world's largest Middle-Class at roughly 440million people (about 140million households), and they make anywhere between $25,000 ~ $75,000. It's a well-known fact that Chinese tourists have the highest Buying Power today, they spend the most money when they travel to other countries. Keep in mind Per Capita GDP is a very inaccurate reference to measure one's economy as it's brought down by the number of population. Too many variables affect people's incomes based on cost of living, quality of life, healthcare system, social services, governmental supports...etc. Now take all factors into consideration, coupled with Chinese people's habit of saving, I'd say people in China today are making more money than the American counterparts. If India wants to catch up to China, they'd have to go through similar ordeals that China had to go through in order to fix all the problems and laid down strong foundations for everything else to come. Otherwise, it's just wet fantasy.

China uses markets to set prices and direct investment at the margin, but the economy is firmly controlled by the state. China's government-owned SOEs are the largest in the world, and control ALL vital sectors, such as finance, healthcare, energy, telecommunications, transportation, and education, along with having strong positions in heavy industry such as shipbuilding, manufacturing, etc. China's SOEs are beholden to the Chinese government as proxy for the people, and and profits get invested back into the system. Furthermore, China has Party members in all major private companies, ensuring that they toe the line. In short, China only appears 'capitalist' if you look at the surface of things being sold, now how things are organized or who manages things.
America, OTOH, is the opposite, where private companies tell the government what to do, and the American public owns almost no critical infrastructure or sectors, aside from subsidizing transport for private profits. A small amount of social welfare exists, but that doesn't make America 'socialist'.

The reasons are many but the most conspicuous is the lack of cohesiveness of India. The country cannot pull together. Indians quarrel and fight each other over many issues because they are emotional and tend to be violent. Caste, religion, race, politics, corruption, tribal mindset and greedy oligarchs all contribute to the chaos that pervade India. Although India wants to have FDIs yet it treats its foreign investors with disdain and even greed. Foreign investors are literally driven out after being sucked off their material investments and fiscal profits. More than 2000 industries have left India in the past few years after suffering the above. Although the GDP is rising 95% of the profits go to the handful oligarchs like the Tata, Ambhani, etc. Even with all this, India and Indians like to boast about how their economy is going to be the No1. Yeah, the West is now painting India as a "threat" to Western values and the "rules based order" because India's economy is approaching America's, like China & Japan before. America managed to cow Japan into signing the Plaza Accords leading to the the end of the Bubble Economy and 30+ years of Lost Decades. China got lucky with 9/11 turning America toward the War on Terror, and again with the Ukraine focusing America on Russia. India may not be so lucky, as they're growing much slower than China, and America learned their lesson from China that they need to act much earlier. India will be lucky to reach 1/2 America. My bet is that America will work with the EU to keep India smaller than the EU.
Also, it would be a massive troll if China were to release a global map showing independent Khalistan, Ryukyu (Okinawa), Catalonia, Basque, Scotland, Corsica, *and* unified Ireland, Korea, etc.

India is not even in the same league with Usa or China. (IMF)’s GDP database shows that the world GDP crossed $100 trillion, in current US dollars, in 2022: it was for the first time ever. US and China have added GDP of $4.08 trillion and $3.76 trillion respectively in these three years. At the same time, India could add only $0.55 trillion. Not so much gender equality. What India needs is caste equailty.
I am a Chinese person living in the US. For Chinese people, by and large, your lastname, heritage, and even ethnic origin have very little to do with whether you and I could become friends. However, for Hindus, this isn't as straightforward due to their caste system, which dictates their social interactions. There was a young Indian American man who attended Harvard; none of the international students from India would befriend him because his family belonged to a lower caste known as Dalit. The issue lies in the fact that Dalit isn't a small minority; their population in India exceeds 200 million. The caste system in India poses a significant obstacle to the success of Indians, unless success is measured solely for the top 0.000000001%-individuals like the CEOs of Google and Microsoft and the Prime Minister of the UK, and so on.

ASEAN on the other hand is already a Multi-State and Multi-Polar economically and socially which is aligned with the growing future of BRICS and the changing world trade and business structure. India is still far behind. India is just all talk and no action. Unfortunately my fellow indians will term me anti national for saying this but this is truth.
    1) First the wastage of human resources. The government considers you employed if you're working for 30 days a year. Even with this criteria unemployment is at an all time high now. Indians are leaving this country to settle outside.Unemployment is causing a huge wastage of human resources.
    2) Government in 2015 bought a skill india scheme to train 30 crore people and make india manufacturing hub but after 9 years zero results.
    3) China has captured indian land in ladakh and government has been negotiating with chinese since last four years to push them back but the chinese won't budge. This government gets petrified when china name is mentioned.
    4) Manipur a state in north east. The government failed to curb the situation and riots have been going on there since last year. The PM of india at start ignored the problem only after 80 days when a video of girl who was paraded naked in the street goes viral the PM finally spoke about the issue.
    5) Almost all neighbours of india are under the influence of China. Even small counties like maldives are showing eyes to india.
    6) Recently the supreme court stuck down electoral bonds a system where companies could donate to political parties anonymously. The ruling party got majority of the share of money from it. The government awarded many firms fat contracts after they donated the money. A company' called Megha engineering after they bought bonds were awardes following contracts :-
Thane borivali rs 14,400 crore tunnel project
648 million $ Mongolia refinery project.
HPCL refinery 3200 crores in Rajasthan.
Contract worth rs 6000 crore by ongc in 2019.
Rs 4700 crore zojilla tunnel contract.
Also the pharma companies whose medicines caused death of kids in Cameron and uzbekistan got their license back after they bought electoral bonds. And this is just the tip of iceberg. A lot of scams are still hidde to be uncovered.
    7) The government promotes hate between communities. They've bought out most of the media channels and there is not a single channel who dares to say a thing or criticise the government. The media which was supposed to be fourth pillar of democracy is busy campaigning for ruling party.
    8) In terms to education, healthcare we are no where near the developed countries. No indian university is in top 100 university of world. Education and Healthcare cost are rising day by day thanks to private players.
    9) Safety wise this country is doing nothing.Recently a Spanish tourist who safely travelled through countries like afghanistan, Pakistan got raped in india.
These are just some issues there are whole lot of them out there. Indians just like to brag in social media but when you see the ground reality the result is something else.
Now so called patriotic indians will curse me in comments section for questioning government.

I agree that China made better investments in its human capital especially in its approach of tapping into its female labor market but I think one thing that is overlooked is its efficient stabilization of population growth. The one child policy helped a lot. It not only slowed growth and allowed China to have extra money to invest in infrastructure and its human capital but it also made female workers more productively efficient (for example, not being pregnant all the time and missing work as a result). India needs to start regulating its population growth if it wants to be competitive with China and it needs to start tapping into its potential female labor market, both of which are interlinked. It's easy to say that India should invest more but the question is with what money? If population growth is increasing commensurate to GDP, GDP per capita won't increase.

In the past Indians prospered because they lived in a system and culture which they created and were part of. Today that is not the case. Great countries have fought for their future not relied on begging like India.

The world has nothing to fear from India from a business point of view. I would be sceptical regarding investing capital a into India. Caste system alive and well especially and notably in business. And although a broad generalisation, the general view is that price proposition makes up 90% of commerciality. Not quality, not delivery, not honouring broken equipment, and a general view if you didn’t ask or be specific could would be cheated on - and this is regarded as ok from a commercial perspective. No long term investor will survive in a culture like this. Hence the historic results. I have learnt the hard way. Never again
