I love the younger generations that are open too all types of music ! IM obviously a big Elvis fan and i dont know for sure ,ive watched loads of your elvis reactions ,i love the effort you put into studying Elvis THE MAN not just the enternanier ! Theres so many songs that he performed in 5 different genraes .it is impossible i think just to suggest a favourite! But I'm was only 7 years old when Elvis died ,but I absolutely love his country especially just pretend live in vegas 1970 .and I was the one,my favourite version is his split screen rehearsal 1970 I belive in vegas! All his gospels ,just anything thing you can possibly see live, or hear on recordings! Anything and everything Elvis is just the best .your doing a great job my friend!

I first heard this song shortly after it came out in 1970 or 71 by Simon and Garfunkel. Couldn't avoid it since it was constantly on the radio and won Grammy awards for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. And I never cared for it; would end up changing radio stations when it would come on. Didn't hear Elvis' version till a few years ago and I like it much more; just has more soul and feeling in it than Art Garfunkel's version. That may not be a popular opinion but that's just how it hits me.
You aren't the only one who said that they liked Elvis's version better than the original, and wowww that's amazing especially since it's such an amazing song.
