It’s so different when a non-media personality, aka Phillip, gets to be the one interviewing an actor who also cares about representation as he and Wong Fu have been the leaders for this in Asian media from the start. His level of empathy, insightful questions, and immigrant understanding is only matched by Maitreyi’s extreme humility, self-awareness, and depth. I am a HUGE NHIE and Mindy fan, especially as a Filipina-American who never knew how much I wanted stories of IMperfect Asian characters. I looove how open and honest she is, and I hope she continues to get roles that blow us, and herself, away!!!

Love this and as someone who is from no minority groups but have been a wong fu, Mindy project and now never have I ever super fan i LOVE to see this type of representation and specificity and learn more about people who are different than myself. Shows like these have helped me to relate to friends that do come from minority groups and has helped me understand them better. Love what you both are doing for your communities but also sharing with the rest of the world ❤
