I'd say the only thing why you'd prefer Walachia is to have the Draculesti. Moldavia is easier IMO.

Finally actually did this as historical Wallachia a few months ago and it was honestly one of my favorite and most rewarding achievement campaigns so far (at 1500 hours)

The 1.33 patch made Moldavia almost impossible nation to play. I hope you will update the guide because I'm stuck. Really hard to get alliance with Austria (to attack Ottoman during Albania-s conquest) and Ottoman always turns back once I've taken either the capital or the provinces near it...
Update: I managed to do it after like 10 tries, I've been lucky because somehow Epirus got guaranteed by Polish/Lithuanian overlords and they've killed each other mostly 😁
After the 1st Ottoman war everything went smoothly.
Still was hard to get this in this patch.

As someone who is also Moldovan, this just shows that Wallachia (Romania) has always been the Poland of the Balkans. Decently strong, but always sandwiched between two massive global superpowers. This is one of the few times I can see someone spread our culture and language (after all, it's a treasure, no?)
I am Turkish and I don't know why I enjoy seeing ottos getting crushed everytime. Byzantine vassal feeding is the most satisfying thing in this game lol
Because most nations trying to do this are the underdogs and you get a massive rush from the clutch.
The thumbnail alone gives me flashbacks.
It was my first difficult achievement unlocked in Ironman. I attempted it when I had less than 200 hours in the game. Literally took me 6 months to get.
Yeah it is a pretty nasty one if you not ready for the No-CBs
Very nice Video ! I have the achivement too, but i´ve played with the nation of wallachia. That was a very nice game. And I even made it the first time I tried.
I think for the very beginning you could also mention the rather rng-based "tactic" of setting provinces in wallachia as important in your own diplo screen and after that taking an estates mission because there is a chance that the nobility will give you a mission with accompanying claims to the whole state you have declared as important.
You can do that but i dont like to have super RNG based guides, and thats like a 10% chance of happening

Hi, I accepted the challenge - I did'nt exxpect, that after full annexation of Wallachia and vassalization of Serbia I will mangage to get an Alliance with Hungary, Austria, Aragon (Ottoman's rivals) and additional with Muscovy, now Ottomans will be easily conquered by me thatnks Ludi for inspiration!

Am observat ca s-a schimbat si harta, dupa ce m-am chinuit vreo 3 zile pe vremea aceea sa-mi fac propria harta in care Muntenia are 5 regiuni si Moldova la fel (coduri de culoare, codificare de regiune, istoric pe regiune) si fisierele aferente (provincii, sfetnici). Atunci nu se putea crea Romania cu Moldova ci doar cu Muntenia (bineinteles ca am adaugat ulterior si Moldova). Acum joaca doar fiul meu pe Steam Family sharing versiunea actualizata. Apropo, Ludi, fiul meu a urmat exact ce ai facut si intr-adevar avea toata regiunea balcanica cucerita (ba chiar si o parte din Anatolia).

Have tried following this guide a number of times today (with 1.32.1 beta), but the Ottomans always seem to guarantee Serbia before I can attack them. I guess will just require multiple restarts until they don't?
Paul. I did this LIVE on the 1st try my man. Listen to the small print. If you need to attack serbia with no cb before ottos guarantee them bud
@@LudietHistoria I know, I'm able to do this with Wallachia, but even if I don't rival Serbia, the Ottomans seem to rival them before the war with Wallachia ends
It's not valayheands it's pronounced Wah-lock-ians. And that is were Vlad was actually from (aka modern day transylvania which is a part of Romania)
Vlad was actually Romanian, the term wallachian was invented by the west. His family was actually originally from the Moldovan parts, which is why his cousin, Stefan the Great, was the ruler of Moldova. Moldova and Wallachia was always one country with two rulers, people themselves didn't have a border between the countries and intermixed a lot. Also, it's pronounced how I say it sir, the one you mentioned above is a corrupt way of pronuncing it, I should know, I am Romanian and also have a degree in History and English Language xD NO FLEX, just pointing out

I've seen this before but does manpower recovery do anything to increase manpower?
Or does manpower recovery just determine how fast your armies bounce back after they have taken casualties?
Manpower recovery speed increase the number of manpower you gain each month => your manpower replenish faster.
@@lafagevalentin That's what I thought. So if your units take damage, they replenish faster. But the amount of MP you have is still the same. So if you are gaining 200 men each month a 20% recovery replenishment, just means you burn through them faster, rather than gain more men.
@@lafagevalentin no thats not it. Manpower recovery speed influences how quickly the manpower pool itself fills back up.
The speed with which you burn through your manpower with units recovering from sieging/fighting/etc. is called reinforce speed.
Thus, manpower recovery speed is great as it definitely helps out your manpower management a ton!

was playing a moldova game not that long ago and was doing well basicly conquered poland and luthiania plus a bit of hungary and crimia but the ottos attacked me and muscovy was in dept and refuesed the call and so i was fucked
