@@Aya.101. it’s a huge long needle that is put into the spine to inject anaesthetic to numb the body from waist down so you don’t feel anything, including pain. However it’s not always successful and doesn’t always work, for some it completely works and for others it doesn’t work and doesn’t numb so it’s still painful. There are also so many other really serious risks, some women even become completely paralysed from it permanently as it’s a very risky procedure - injecting into the spinal cord is very risky.
Literally she is a damn queen. 2 for 2. 2 births and both were so calm. I’m so happy I got to watch along all your journeys. I remember watching you skip school to go to Disney with Elijah. Your proposal, the wedding, the first pregnancy journey and birth and now this one! Hearing her first cry made me start crying. I had my first and only baby in September. And ugh I miss this moment. That moment was by far the best thing I’ve ever experienced
not only is your daughter beautiful, it truly is beautiful that you document the birthing process. i’m sure this video also helps lots of young parents and people around the world to be ready to become parents some day. ❤

I’m six months pregnant with my first and feel so clueless and nervous about breastfeeding, birth, all of it. You took this like a champ and am praying to be as calm and collected as you! Congratulations!
Don’t worry too much! In my experience, when you first have a baby, you don’t know anything but they don’t either, but you are able to learn & grow together
When they’re first born they sleep most of the time and just perform basic functions,
As long as you’re giving them love and doing your best to care for them, that’s enough & most important
I’m sure you will be great and a lot of things will feel natural, my advice, sleep when they sleep as you will be up often during the night (which you do get used to eventually, lol)
Learn about their developmental milestones and don’t be too hard on yourself! No one has it all together, we are all constantly learning & growing
If you experience postpartum depression, don’t feel bad to ask for help, it is common & can be from a combo of many different reasons. treatments (therapy etc) can look different depending on those variables, so talking to your dr about it can help you to work/get through it.
There’s been too much shame & stigma around it, luckily much better today
& breastfeeding doesn’t work for everyone, but imo it’s important to at least try & do especially at the beginning, it can help build up your baby’s immunity & is so much easier & cheaper imo (my first 2 kids wouldn’t take a bottle or formula, my youngest had so many issues with nursing, & I got a bad infection in my breasts & had to pump & dump, switch to formula while on antibiotics,
But when I switched her to a bottle and formula she did so much better!
Good luck with your labor & delivery and I hope you have a good experience
**& I wanna mention that I know having/caring for babies does not come natural to everyone, and that’s ok, we just need to do our best to learn those skills that only come with experience either way

Breastfeeding definitely hurts! The doctors will tell you it shouldn’t but it does! Parts of ur nipples will fall off and bleed and when you shower it also hurts and if you pump it feels like needles pocking you lots of times and your baby might not latch! But keep pushing and it’ll get a bit easier 💕💕

You women who don’t get painful contractions are sooo lucky! My contractions were the absolute worst thing I have ever experienced! I was dying from contractions, literally couldn’t even walk or talk and was constantly crying because of how bad it was. You guys are so lucky! Congratulations on baby girl btw! 💕
She had an epidural but she had painful contractions before that she said it was getting to the point where she couldn’t talk through them
