My life changed after I started reading Tibetan Buddhism, it’s so vast and deep. I just picked up two or three books and it helped me even many spiritual concepts get clear. I am a Sikh and Guru Nanak is called as Nanak Lama by Tibetans. I wish we Indians can provide more space to Tibetans to build their beautiful temples, monastries here and seriously wish Tibet to get free from Chinese Rule.

In Tibet Lamas are not only religious head of the state(Tibet) they are also administrative heads of Tibet. After present Dalai Lama left Tibet for good, the second tier Lama that is 'Pan-chen' Lama actually surrendered before Chinese administration because of vehement Chinese authority, in exchange Chinese Govt. assured him shelter, food and so called security but was asked to stay in Peking only, he was deprived of his responsibilities towards Tibetan people. Pekingl(That time the city was known as) but did not forget to broadcast his speeches which were prearranged by Chinese authority. I personally listened 'Pan-chen' Lama's speech on Radio Peking. With Bengali translated version in the year 1970, 1971, and perhaps in the year 1972. Speeches did not have any international acceptability, in India, only CPI (ML) I.e 'Naxal Partiy' activists would pay attention to it. But a rootless captive personality, who would live thousands mile away from own ground failed to draw attention internationally. His speeches would contain only high applause of communist China. Every body could understand what was what. 'Pan-chen' Lama ultimately breathed his last in Peking. Second tier Buddhism of Tibet literally ended up with his Death. His demise did not shake Tibetans at all, also he was cremated there. In your third episode you tell people the last and final personality of Tibetan Buddhism. He is 'karmapa'.This karmapa tier established its head quarter in Sikkim in a very big monastery..The Rumtek Monastery, the richest sect of Tibetan Buddhism. 'Karmapas' control their sect from 'Surfu Gumpha' situated in middle Tibet, the amazing fact is this that little boy 'Karmapa' fled from tibet, took shelter in India. Started his learning, and other religious practices under the guidance of 'Dalai Lama'. The little boy is now a man of almost thirty years old, but never appear before the devotees of his sect, Karmapa now lives in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh.Lamas were or are not only religious heads of Tibetan Buddhism, they were or are tha administrative heads in different capacities.
