The series honestly was not so great, i didn't understood the problem with protest and other stuff but their duo First and Khaotung with their chemistry made the show much more interesting and worth to watch and then rewatch over and over again. They're great actors and friends in real life and it was really visible in their acting, how they delivered emotions, and told their story. I highly reccomend you to watch this series mostly for this duo, there were other great actors but for me those two were the best.
