Absolutely loving this knife! artisan is killing it lately and very quickly becoming one of my favorite companies to deal with. They have now started to offer disassembled knives for Canadian citizens, which they started doing with the boa and extended to their entire lineup! Most other companies that I reach out to are not willing to do that for their customers, and it makes me want to deal with Artisan much more often
Absolutely loving this knife. Finally, got one of my own and for only $110 brand new. Amazing clean design with nice action and gorgeous blade.
I remember some time ago when someone didn't think s90v was so great;
You're right, but he actually explained why in an upload (Knife Nuts Podcast?). Something along the lines of having bad examples and how his opinion changed.
He grew a little. He also eased up on VG10. He's had a lot of revelations in the last year. He's also opened a lot of people's eyes to things we didn't know as well.
First off, proud of your "thats what she said". I needed that. And we all got like 30 knives with a m390 or in that family blade. S90v has been something i have been wanting more of and now that seems to be happening.
Looks like they nailed it! Would really like to see this in a sheepsfoot with the lockbar flex cutout on the inside. Very nice knife though!
Make it a wharncliffe and we've got a deal
I now own two of the Satyrs. I carry them both all the time. The s90v is fabulous. Holds its edge for days.
Put that with my Frack (s90v), Drop point a d Wharnvliffe Pyrites in s90v, and steel handles.
Artisan/CJRB is doing great. Quickly becoming a favorite brand.
What do you think of their S90V after a few more months of use ? I bought the Revel cause I love the design but coming from Spyderco i'm a bit worried about Artisan's heat treats.
The plunge grind of the knife is already killing me, but if it has the real S90V edge retention it might take me 6 months before the edge develops a smile...
@@ramonade_knives I have been impressed with the s90v on the Satyr. I have had the revel for two weeks and love it.
So far the s90v from Artisan has held up really well. I don't think you will be disappointed. I am not.
I carried the Satyr (one of the now four I own) and exclusively for months. Probably four months. I use my knives very heavily but don't abuse them. It did very well. I didn't ever feel it needed to be sharpened. Then I cut it into a staple. Lol. Its edge held up very well, but a quick brush on the sharpener and it is like new.
Hope that helps.
Check out the newly dropped CJRB Ekko on white mountain knives in S90V and contoured milled titanium! CJRB is putting some killer stuff out lately!!! Thanks for all you do for the community MC!!!!
I'm pinching myself as I just bought one of these on the secondary market, only handled & not used or carried, for $150.
$150! For this knife "used"? Yes please!
I've had some great deals, & even recently have had some banger knife purchases for insanely great prices, but... Wow.
$150 is definitely a great price for this. I was lucky to recently pick one up for $110 brand new. Best purchase ever!
Your T6 people sounds like disney's Goofy, which is pretty appropriate. Also love the back showroom voice. Saw the whole thing in crystal clarity. Lol
Ordered mine last week
man artisan cutlery is my favorite company by far really love them im about to buy a CJRB Grag lol so i cant wait for that so cool i wish i could afford more exspencive ones but owell
That definitely is a great great price for that knife! It’s so beautiful and checks all the right boxes
The recently released Kizer Varatas gives me the same vibes as this. (Minus the scale milling)
Hey man. Would you go with this over the Trux?
“We love breaking our tools and stripping our hardware! It’s our favorite thing!!” 🤪
Looks like the CJRB Frack also has T8 hardware, though that's just looking at the knife in their store on a monitor screen.
Its good for the consumer that these companies are using s90v more. Even though s90v really shows how great it is at around 63hrc from a maker that cares about doings great heat treatments, at 59-61 hrc like these oem companies are doing give plenty of edge retention in a 200 dollar knife. Better than m390 at 59-61 for sure.
Beautiful knife! Where is it made?
Remarkable performance, great show.
Mine should arrive by FedX tomorrow👍
Picked me one up. Thanks MC
I had this sitting in my shopping cart, and after this video dropped the knife sold out everywhere. LOL, Thanks MC
it's back in stock
@@johndings9917 I back ordered it at KnifeCenter so now I get to keep waiting...
Metal complex idk if you have the frack yet but I’m torn same materials and finish but difference in blade shape and size I think I’ll go with this
Oh man I really like this knife in its entirety, great price but sold out, I digg everything on this knife 💯🔥🤙
It was sold out on Artisan sight. I found it at White Mountain Knives today..
@@Cascade0ne I noticed that I just checked the link, I definitely want one 🤙
Is this ATZ-1852G-GY or ATZ-1852G-BGY version here in the video??
How would you compare and contrast the balance of the CPM-154 blade steel, with the s90v?
LeftyEDC is always doing the "thats what she said..." too
I hope s90v becomes the new m390!
You got a new leather badge, there!
Now I’m going to have to watch Cliffhanger 😂
Dammit. I need that knife and I am getting a check from my tribe this month and I hope it isnt sold out hy then.
Is m390 steel good
Stunning knife amazing price, I feel I'd wreck that blade finish in a week though.
Doesn't matter bro. It's the hype train! Get on board!
Love that knife, gonna get one
4K 60FPS really visible in this video! Thanks MC! -Fellow S23U User
Sold out
Love the saytr
T40 pivot or your wasting your time. That being said, it looks like a great knife id love to pick up
God I fuckin love metal complex
Looks amazing
Would have been perfect as a front flipper as well.
Nice knife for $199 but it makes the Boa look even more overpriced considering it is $213 at 25% off and only uses S35VN
Boa is a way smaller batch and Artisan is just the oem for Triple Stripe....The satyr is an in-house artisan knife...
@paulaguirre9213 Sure but the Boa is $285 when not on sale and let's be real it should be $150 all day. The Satyr is the perfect price point for what it is, the Boa is not.
100% besides the point lol, Im not saying one is better than the other just stating why the pricing is the way it is @@Talix.
@paulaguirre9213 It is not besides the point. The entire point is that, regardless of Artisan being the oem for Triple Stripe, the Boa is still not a good value.
And with that god awful front flipper
Mine arrives next week 😢
I'm pretty sure they pronounced it "Satire". Not "Sader"
You are correct and probably knew it immediately.
@@7grahamh that's how they pronounced it at blade show west when they revealed it
incredibly clean....
If this knife was a flipper it’d be perfect
Dang! I tried using your link to buy this knife and there out of stock ☹️
They had them at White Mountain Knives still today..
back in stock
I hope the ends of your fingers are shaped like tic tacs 😂
Is this really a “$600” equivalent knife? The aesthetics aren’t there compared to the Rosie.
Strange, when she was closed, I thought she looked a lot like an Arion. Open, she looks nothing like an Arion.
3.77 antient measure units? It would be so much better to measure knives in actual weight units - grams.
No
I wish their logo didn't look like the NY Giants' logo.
Or... A certain symbol used by a certain group that kicked off WWII...
To be clear, I have no problem with it but people who are not into knives may well do and I couldn't blame them for mistaking it.
Dang. Sold out
not anymore
I think the people who don't care about T6 are the ones who don't really take apart their knives very often, if at all.
Just a guess 🤷♂
sold out on their site :\
Tell me they are available
it's now
It’s called sand polished
I said it 😉
I’m going to go to Evil Bay to get one.
Such a beautifful knife but not for lefty.😭
This handle is not finished. Super harsh edges for what APPEARS to be a refined knife. I'm sending mine back. Kizer T1 over this all day. THANKS! Hype train.
And.....it's sold out. Nice
Yeah, it's pretty much a given that any knife recommended by MC will be relegated to wishlist status for a bit, for most of us. Unless you have a physical shop close by you can get them from.
Id say this is the worst knife at 200. Its very hard to open one handed, there is a reason this guy only back flips. It makes a scratching sensation when you are slowly closing it.
I prefer the spydie flick anyways
I just received mine today and I must say it is possibly the worst opening knife Ive ever handled. Huge disappointment in anticipation of your good review 😢 I must have a lemon this knife cannot be finger flicked thumb hole open and it’s stiff and you have to open it like a slip joint. Ridiculous play shape is awesome thin knife so pocket but I don’t think losing the pivot will overcome the issue. The titanium bar and travel stop is so stiff and because it’s made of titanium this is not going to have a break-in.
So basically, for me, despite the great blade that it is and frame thinness is actually a zero value I need to return
if only if it was a leftie...
left-handers are a myth. 😏
$199.99 is so fucking gimmicky! Silly marketing team!
First!
you want a cookie?
Thanks
