My great grandfather came to the USA from Wales. He mail ordered an Irish wife. My Grandfather was born in and graduated High School in the city I currently live in. My Father was born in California as I was also. Of course my surname is Jones. Interesting video, Wales is one of the places I'd like to visit once I retire.

Cymru is pronounced as "kum-ree", NOT "sim-ru".... Better do some proper research on your video before posting it

Nice video! Cymru is pronounced "cum ree". Whenever I think of Wales, one of the first things that comes to mind is the song "Men of Harlech".

This video is nonsense. The welsh are not voiceless and the desire for independence has increased to around 38% wanting it.
Our culture is different to Scotland and Ireland. We have kept our language, which we speak in abundance unlike Scotland and Ireland with 30% of children doing their whole education in welsh.
We have nearly 800,000 fluent speakers compared to a mere 300k in Ireland and 50k in Scotland of Gaelic.
There are whole regions where welsh is the predominately spoken language.
The notion that a kilt and a bagpipe is original Scottish culture is also nonsense! The kilt was only popularised in the early 1900s. Most of Scotland never even wore kilts!
    More research required. Shame.

Wales has a small population of just over 3 million and so is necessarily going to be overshadowed in any larger political organisation to which it belongs. Ironically, the Welsh language has survived better within the UK than the Irish language has outside it in the last century..

Welshshire is a lovely place to go for a holiday. If you want to buy anything you just don't look the locals in the eye and you speak with a French accent .

@@ParaplegicKeanuReeves some English people like to think of Wales as one of their shires. A bit like Scotlandshire.
