  • Downhill run at Encinitas Community Park--doesn't look as fast as it was, definitely 17-18 mph, at least. Pets and kids everywhere--kinda make it fun. ;)
Better view of the park here:

Are the wheels soft enough for a rink with my kids? Or is this just for outdoor? Sometimes the cheaper wheels are harder and slip on an indoor rink

Yeah they are. They're all-terrain wheels. 78A I believe. Maybe 80A. Nothing crazy. They've lasted me pretty well outside but they do wear after 10 miles or so and need rotation. Inside they would last forever, haha.

Hey! I'm thinking of buying theses skates, i loved your video. I was just wondering if the brake was able to be taken off?

The brake is removable, yep. That's the first thing I did, haha. But you have to call K2 and request a shorter normal bolt if you do that. Rather annoying that they don't include it in the box but I understand why from a financial standpoint. I went to home depot and found some chamfered rubber washers and used them to fill the space while I waited for the bolt (otherwise you can't cinch down the wheel). Once it came I replaced it, all has been well since. These skates are great--even the stock wheels last a fair while if you skate on smooth (concrete) surfaces and rotate the wheels regularly! No complaints!

thinking of getting these inline skates. do you think they are fast enough to cruise long distances. I plan to skate for 10 mile distances and wanted to know if these skates require alot of effort to maintain speed. your help would be great. thanks.

Hey! They're awesome all-rounders. I have done 10+ miles on them in one go at just over an hour and they roll very very well--the problem you'll find is that wind will slow you down becasue you're going so fast! I regularly hit 18-19 mph in a sustained sprint in these on *flat* ground. They're stable at 23 mph easily (max I've hit).
Super comfy. No blisters ever. I'd recommend a full size down from normal for a snug fit. I am an 8.5. I got 7.5 and although the toe was touching a tad at first it isn't anymore--they don't obviously break in but clearly do in a subtle way. The softboot feels so nice. I have a medium+ wide foot.
Totally recommended. I got mine in sale for 160! Inline warehouse. They aren't paying me to rec them. :)

Oh yeah. And they're upgradable to 90 mm wheels which will be even faster! Win win all around.

Intamin If you upgrade to the 90 wheels, will the brake still fit.

Hey, didn't see this, sorry. My wheels last a long time. I ordered one pack of additional wheels and am still nowhere close to wearing them, haha!
