The Niners went to the SB last season when they were healthy. Dallas got whooped against GB in the playoffs when they were healthy for the most part. They got whooped against the Saints and Ravens before they lost the 3 DE's.

On the road………Sloppy field……..A long weather delay………1/3 of the starters on defense injured and not playing……… The number two receiver injured and not playing of an offense already thin on playmakers………Yeah this is a good win………Now of course they are downplaying the Steelers after the whole panel picked them to win 🙄.

My opinion and I am a Steelers fan, I don’t see anything great about what the cowboys did yesterday other than running then ball well…they had 3 takeaways nearly 4 at the end of game. It’s easy to say they stopped the run well when really that’s all we had the entire game. Out starting qb had 127 yards lol
Yes, the Cowboys were beating themselves. That's the point, Cowboys have a history of losing games like this. They deserve credit bc they have struggled defensively. We also have injuries on the defensive and offensive side. They found a way to win. It's not an outstanding win, but they got it done. That's the point.

Interesting debate as to what a winning record means at this point.....
.....and I am on Dan's side. Cowboys did not beat roethlisberger Pittsburgh. They beat an experimental team relying on tough defense. This team was 3-1 but that's different than 12-6. With this loss, Pits is one game away from 50% so their records don't tell the story of how bad that offense is. Cowboys were supposed to win that game.
The entire panel picked the Steelers to win that game. And the Steelers defense was holding opponents to an average of 12.6 ppg before playing Dallas.
So now they're an experimental team? 😂 Bro all these analyst chose the steelers to win. How tf are they "suppose" to win when they said they would be demolished by the steelers' defense.

Was Fields the starter when off season began? No. Did Fields have a great preseason to be given the QB position? Fu$$ No. He had a disaster of a preseason.
So why did Tomlin go with Fields?
Because Russell Wilson took a week off for his ankle sprain. Tomlin came out in a press conference and said how much these games matter and still, Russell didn't play the first game.
In other words, FIELDS WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE THE STARTER. Fields got the job because Tomlin hated Russell. He didn't EARN the position. It was given to him.
I give the Steelers until week 13, when they go from 3-1 to 4-8, they will put Russell Wilson as a starter and they will rebuild this entire offense.
The offense is abysmal. The defense is a force. One has to go. Tomlin just doesn't have options this year.

Cowboys won due to stopping the run and being able to run, period. Dowdle "manned up" and looked like a young Zeke, and their run game kept Rayne Dakota Prescott from throwing 4 picks, because he's not good at throwing long. With Cooks out, Dak threw to no-name speedsters like Tolbert and Turpin, because he lost chemistry with CD Lamb. Also, Ferguson's ruggedness got alot of yards after catches along with converting big 3rd downs. It was a good game and gritty performance by both teams whose players took some big shots.

@sagaswp probably, but who knows. I'm not going to gloat about the Cowboys, but Washington has only beaten bad defensive teams. The verdict is still out on that team. Bengals are a great offensive team, but are bad defensively. They play the Ravens next week, we'll see how they do. Not saying they are pretenders, just need more.

I’m a cowboys fan but Dan is right about the Cowboys. Pittsburgh lost more than Dallas won. Dalas has won games like this before and that’s why everyone hyped them up as contenders but always fold in the playoffs. Yeah it’s only the 5th week so verdict is still out.
