I just wanted to say that I appreciate you a lot choc. I'm 29years old and outside of dashie you're one of the Nintendo guys I feel like I can relate too. My Brother and I played Mario kart Double Dash before he was killed in a car accident 2 days before Christmas a while back. Being able to relive my Nintendo childhood through your videos is something I never expected. You motivated me to even more to chase my TH-cam dreams with my Nintendo passion. Also, the funny thing about the "Tickle" ability.... its kinda useless to use in the rolling spikes track, you can just select the Spin bros and walk with Mario on Luigi's head, and it will have the same effect except faster and without a time limit xD
That ability always felt like they were just out of ideas
@@MadWeegee they could've avoided that if Spin Bros didn't allow you to move, because the special hand moves aren't that bad and still have their moments.
@@MrKlausbaudelaire In the original, you _couldn't_ move while standing in the Spin Jump pose. Being able to move while in the Spin Jump pose was a thing since Partners in Time, though.

I’m currently playing this on an emulator since I don’t have a 3DS anymore. The only game I played was Bowsers Inside Story. I already love this series and can’t wait to play more ❤️

Just beat the original game just days ago, what a great time. With that, I officially beat three Mario & Luigi games, with Partners in Time almost done. Hope you play the other ones after this!
Some weeks ago I beat Paper Jam, so I finally played ALL Mario & Luigi games ^^
I’ll never forget the memories alphadream left us with, some of the best rpg’s i’ve ever played

AlphaDream literally could've saved themselves from bankruptcy if they made Peach and Daisy the star of their own RPG.
I really don’t think a simple character swap would have saved them at the point they were at, especially on the 3ds. But yeah a cool idea nonetheless lol
Nah I think the 3DS killed the franchise they should have gone to main consoles a long time ago.

They would have saved themselves if they remade the older games (including partners in time) on the switch. But unfortunately they released the remakes on a dying console

Man I remember playing this game as a kid and getting stuck on a single puzzle for hours, only to figure out where to go by wandering around a bunch
There is something nice in the Mario RPG games with the balance of puzzles and action. The puzzles usually aren't too taxing, but they are pretty satisfying when you solve them to progress.
I always found it odd that the Mario & Luigi remake did some gratuitous changes to some of the original's characters and enemies. I do miss Bink basically being an undead Donkey Kong.
While Paper Mario is my all time favorite Mario game, Mario & Luigi: Super Star Saga has gotta be the funniest one.

Fun fact, in the gba superstar saga the thwomp minigame is predetermined as soon as you pay him. No matter what rock you hit your rewards will always be the same. I'm not sure if that carries over to this version though.

Worth the wait
i know im super late on this but there are enemy tells. some are more obvious than other on which bro the enemies will attack. tends to be a certain body part like arms or the eyes but sometimes it can be other things. like lets say an enemy flips and u notice they go for luigi. the time they dont flip is when the enemy will go for mario. also, some enemies can fake u out when they can hit u. like the bean goombas. sometimes they trip before reaching the bro.

I can burp on command and funny story about it, in second grade there was a guy named Sam like the Dr. Seuss books, and he tried to teach burp language, which was just saying letters and words, while burping.

Squid, Octopus and Cuttlefish are much smarter than a lot of people think or give them credit for. I genuinely don't feel like we should be eating them.

I think starfish is one of those creatures that evolved to deliberately taste bad so no hunters will bother it.
I pray that we not only get a new Mario & Luigi game for Switch but it’s also done by the former Alphadream dev team. It sucks that their studio went bankrupt but I hope they at least still have jobs at Nintendo.
And while we’re at it, we need this series ported to Switch. Sure they require two screens but they can just do what the Mega Man ZX games did and just find a way to toggle and switch DS functions like the map, commands etc.
I believe the first game is coming to the GBA lineup if it’s not there already.

I would love a spiritual successor. Like I had the idea of a My Hero Academia RPG inspired by the Mario and Luigi games starring Izuku, Ochako, and Tenya. Hell imagine if such a game had a bonus fight against the Mario Bros themselves

The only Mario and Luigi game I have yet to play is Paper Jam. (Well, technically I've only barely played Superstar Saga GBA and haven't completed BIS DS, and haven't completed Minion Quest or Bowser Jr's Journey)
I started playing this game as well. I am about at this point after 9 hours of gaming.
I remember my complete disbelief at how easy it was to get the rest of the beanstar pieces versus the first one. It made no sense to me then and still doesn't now.
