Yes, at least on the UK VHS/TV release, it was the licensed 'Shake, Rattle and Roll' by Big Joe Turner. Although i do have to say this OST version is a lot more interesting.

Thank you for this playlist; it's refreshed my memory of a lot of atmospheric parts of the OST that I'd forgotten like the building sense of menace as the six blackmail victims take out the weapons that Mr Boddy had brought for them and the wonderful high-adrenaline music as Wadsworth takes them back through the events of the night.
I could even hear in my memory the dialogue for the three distinct endings, most notably Tim Curry's sarcastic tone of voice as he asked in each one: "Why should the Police come? I mean... It's not as if anyone has called them!"
