1. I did not bring - Appachatti,Iddalichembu, Puttukutti, Idiyappachembu, etc. to Canada which are required for authentic malayali breakfast :)
2. Bring some instant maggi noodles for initial days
3. Bring a chaya patram for making chai/coffee
4. Also you can a take a traditional wear if you wish
5. If you have budget to buy laptop/other electronics, buy in from Canada :)

I am traveling alone, will there be using soap powder (detergent) or need to use the detergent pods or soap liquid in general.
Most probably Sharing accommodation so which one is normally use for washer /dryer
Usually liquid detergent and pods are used. I have not seen using powder much.

Not necessary. Just to make sure it’s safe. Many people bring bags without lock also but mostly they wrap their bags.

Is it an offer letter for work or study? If it's STUDY, I am not sure about the process completely, since Oman is not on the list of SDS countries. I believe you can look at the videos of people who migrated from the UAE region. I have moved from India actually.
