Dealing with severe social anxiety and having to go through life’s responsibilities in a constant state of fear is torturous, but Alan Watts makes me feel relieved, free, and weightless.

I had severe social anxiety, life ruining. I can't tell you how to overcome it only that it can be overcome, that it is not permanent. I never had any help, don't be like me as you'll waste many years. Work on yourself, dig into the causes that lie underneath. I had a lot of shame, a sense of inferiority. a delusional of inferiority as there is no such thing as an inferior person.

@@Ekzit21 well the same is true of the entire universe. The Milky Way moves about half a million miles per hour, every hour since the big bang away from the origin location of the big bang. (probably much faster in the beginning millenniums/eons) The point is, we're the same as that. Always keep moving, because that's all you can do. We're all consequences of shrapnel from an inconceivably large explosion. So big, that we could never understand the consequences; so big and inconceivable that the effects of it created life, which we still don't understand how that exactly happened on a micro level. We just theorize that there was a beginning and that time and force move according to a physical understanding of where things are now vs. where they were before.

Fear thrives on your resistance to it, trying to fix , trying to fight it, trying to run from it, the attention you give it . ultimately it wants reach the point of fear of fear.
If it comes greet it , accept it, watch it with a mindset of confidence that its just a passing emotion , separate your self and watch it pass like a cloud.

Panic attacks are a trick you keep falling for. Get so fed up that you are willing to let them kill you (you know they won’t you have already experienced the worst) But go back to living as if you don’t care if you have one or not. You will see if you allow them to do their worse that they are nothing but a trick of the mind. I got rid of panic/anxiety after 10 years. I essentially said fuck it. If it kills me it kills me, and I just went back to living my life. You can do it too.

Learn to calm your nervous system. You need to learn breathwork and an energy practice like qi gong or yoga… Also beware of how you betray your own emotional needs around others. Those is a common cause of panic attacks
