In 80s and 90s the bikes was absolutely gorgeus pieces of art, today is just tubes painted in black. Great show, thanks for sharing. Um abraço do Brazil!
All I had was the GT PRO performer and Dyno Detour but always wanted the Haro Master my friend had and yes my dream top bmx was the Hutch Trickstar.@@TroyCote
@@roberthoward6930 I had a Hutch Pro Raider that was $230 bucks in 1987 now it would be ten times that. I had a couple GTs also. My Holy Grail bike is the Pro Star of course.
I'm 52 and I raced BMX in the 80's in Belgium. I'm now learning to skate with my 12 year old son (already broke an ankle and a leg doing that) but I sure know where my heart really is when I see all these classics...damn!!! GT's, Kuwahara, Haro, Mongoose, Redline, Skyway and those Tuff wheels...omg.
I was six and living in a caravan park on the outskirts of Perth. I’ll never forget the crew of teenagers who passed through - from memory they were ‘pro’ bmx racers and they had incredible Dianond Back bikes. I wonder what they were actually doing there. Either way, I’ll never forget how wide eyed I was seeing the bikes they had and how they could ride them.
I so wish I still had my Diamond Back Viper that I raced back as a 13yr old many, many moons ago. Thanks for the walk down memory lane, some pristine examples in that collection of BMX’s.
Damnnn... I just started getting into BMX for the first time since the 80's when the Mongoose Blue Max and Diamondbacks were the bikes to have. Now I have a kid who rides and I had no idea how far the style had progressed, nor how many companies are offering these modern retro styles. Can totally tell this is going to be my next money pit.
First 5 mins is the best, wow! 3 of my bikes were there. Just 2 dynos but 90 compe and slammer 2 no 87-90 Pro Compes. This video is awesome, thank you i downloaded it to my pc.👍👊
43:41 My Bikes. Awesome show and people!! This was my very first show i put a few of my bikes in. And i still ride them all :) 88 Haro FST Blue (Survivor) 86 Haro Master Green(Survivor) 87 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Dayglow Pink.
the best bike show ive ever wacth all my dream bikes are there mongoose pk ripper diamondback redline hutch kuwahara gt haro all those are my dream bike seen i was 16 years old i only see it in the magazine im from the philipines i love your show very much good job
I stopped riding in 83 cuz I got I car just missed all the free style riding but I remember Oakley 3 grips and wizard number plates were so cool oh and kuwahara bikes
I e watched several of these show videos and have yet to see 3 bikes ive owned. 1. 1990 gt aggressor in chrome with the welded frame bash guard 2. 80s mongoose decade pro in pink/chrome. 3. 80s Dyno detour in orange This was the first haro sport ive seen
The literal FIRST one was my bike growing up. Mongoose decade. Looks like that EXACT one too. People in the know; how much would it costs to get an original clean one lol
I had the nostalgia buzz a couple of years ago and pieced together a BMX. I was really pleased with the build. But trying to ride it was awful! I'm not the same person I was 30+ years ago...
14:46 correct me if im wrong but looks lot like a 2000 GT pro performer rad bike and all but never seen that bronze metallic, anyone know if i got the wrong bike tryna get me one.
Can't believe there's multiple WAL's at 1 show! Thats awesome,,dam I hope those bikes get ridden though. I hate to hear "it's a show bike,it doesn't get ridden."
anybody know of a bike in the 80s called jumper? i dont know if that was the brand name or not but i know i bought from a professional bike shop and not kmart or something and alot of friends had it at the time
Every time I see these bikes I think of the three, four kids in the neighborhood who were always bullies and picked on the 99% of us that couldn't afford these bikes. 40 years later, it's still not cool to be the Murray, Huffy, or Schwinn kid. Where are the bikes 99 percent of us had?
