I have an issue with writing way too much, I never comprehend anything. I am so frustrated. I definitely think reading 3-5 paragraphs will help me and then take notes. I do like writing down vocabulary words too because they are highlighted and I feel like they are important. But my issue is I spend 4 hours just taking notes and reading. I am so frustrated and would like some tips. I am a Neuroscience/Psych major btw. They are about 30-40 pages per chapter

I am the same way. I read first to understand and I only write down what is absolutely necessary.

Thank you so much!!! It’s a great video!!❤️
As a first year dental student I really struggle a lot while trying to study more… because of my faltered concentration, I usually tend to take almost 5-6 hours for a chapter with only 10 to 15 pgs…. No matter the number of revisions. It gets very hard during exam seasons…Any help or ideas as to how I can overcome that? I’d be grateful if you can reply and help😢me

Great video! How would I know what works especially like doing Q/E methods on a word doc/notion/fc/ or doing it on a notebook? For example, I do Q/E method on a notebook but like I don’t usually have time to review it/ I don’t. Also, you could see the question and answer. So how would u approach this?

Trial and error. For the note book or outline - you can change the font of the text you haven't covered the white so it blends with a word doc.
Notion also allows you to toggle like I showed in the video so you can hide content you haven't seen. For a notebook - you can cover the right side of the page and move down (I used my hand)

When would be a good break away point from reading to take notes? Should it be done immediately after the reading or would you recommend coming back later time, like the next day.

Ideally soon after so you don't have to add more time trying to reread to get the notes down. I do my notes with each few pages.

Hi. How do you decide what is better review in the flashcards vs the notion method? BTW I love your anki videos :)

Think it depends which is easier for you to create and repeat daily. It's the ability to do more reps that matter so I you think one is easier to accomplish - then that should be your go to

How many pages per hour can you study on average of a complex textbook?

Various on the topic. 20-30 depending on the flow and level of detail usually while making notes or questions
