A basic structure and arrangement demo for my cover, please excuse the terrible vocal quality! I live in a shared house so I had to be kinda quiet and I recorded it in my bedroom using an SM58 with no pop filter. This is just a rough outline of where everything should go, what chords go where etc.
Sending this version off to my mates who do guitar and vocals, hopefully going to get a drummer involved soon too...

I'll be honest, I really only knew about EKT when it came to lost songs, i liked it's 80's vibes, but your demo, despite it's apparently "bedroom" quality, is really nice. Your voice sounds wonderful while singing, especially with how softly you use it here, it matches the songs vibes perfectly.

Despite it being a bedroom demo I think it sounds amazing already!!! I love what you're doing for the lostwave community with this and EKT. Also best of luck with getting a drummer since the Dollhouse part would definitely sound even better with one😎
Also I hope the final version has the "How long"s sound a little closer to the original snippets 😭by that I mean how the original singer sings every "How" with a high note, then a lower one, while you sing them starting from a lower note, then a higher one, no offense at all since I like your singing despite being kinda quiet (the snippets aren't that loud until the dollhouse part anyways lol), I don't think your vocal quality is terrible at all, I just felt I had to type this out in regards to the "How" specifically

after hearing the real version, i still actually prefer this interpretation! hope you'll still release a final version
I've sent an email to Paula asking her how she feels on the project, I'll post a community update once I hear back! Lots more different songs to come next year though.
Even as a demo this goes oddly hard as hell (of course that’s the case with demos)

Its such a catchy song! And sadly theres currently no lead or clues on where that song originated since so far it was speculated to be from a live performance from the singer..
But im very curious if you would like to try to recreate it in some point since i know you might be very busy-
But i cant help but to think about your possible recreation for "dance for hours a day/dancefloor was his name" and how you would interpret it based on your lyrical work on EKT and how long will it take! But maybe someday, but im still looking forward to listen your other works on different lost songs.
