Here's Bryan's original talk that this one is an update to: th-cam.com/video/anXKAcrJ5Wc/w-d-xo.html then following this p99 talk there was half-hour panel discussion (Bryan Cantrill, Adam Jacob, Ashley Williams): th-cam.com/video/8yTrGsts00U/w-d-xo.html and also an hour and a half long follow up to the panel discussion (all three again): th-cam.com/video/UC4QblJaMUc/w-d-xo.html
I would love Bryan’s thoughts on open source anti-patterns outside of the startup sphere. Especially with last years executive order from the US President, plenty of companies are realizing their entire business is built on top of some libraries that is maintained thanklessly by a tiny handful of people and using terminology like “supply chain” when large companies just consume & benefit from this labour without contributing back.
Methinks it's good to see that Oxide is built on Open Source Tech. I like the rack scale cloud native computer concept and wonder how this might fit with similar solutions in the Open Compute Project ...?
Bryan and Oxide are super awesome and very much the company that has a purpose that stand behind a clear message that is fair and amazing.
Bryan Cantrill 💛
What a refreshing talk, thank you Bryan.
