I think it would be cool if they somehow reunited all three timelines in some way. I'd still like a Zelda game that would take place in Lorule as it has many possibilities and stories yet to be told
I think they already did that with Breath of the wild. I mean, you have both ritos and zoras in it, even though zoras evolved into rito in the adult time line. not to mention that koroks also are in the game.

44:45 The prince actually inherited both the Triforce of Power and the Triforce of Wisdom.
While this was entertaining to watch, the way that the narrative changes sort of makes it hard to follow sometimes. I also feel that a lot of important information was glossed over, not explained very properly, or was stated awkwardly. That being said, a lot of the narrators are pretty talented and were fun to listen to.
Okay I am going to explain each of these the best I can.
4:44 The Interlopers were part of that war over the triforce. So Commonwealth isn't entirely wrong. However I agree. The temple of time was not made specifically because of the interlopers.
13:26 I agree that Link went to look for Navi. I don't recall commonwealth saying otherwise. As for Ganondorf? I don't recall it ever being stated the length of time it took for him to be taken prisoner.
16:04 They never stated that Jabu Jabu or Jabun were in Majora's Mask. They merely stated that the people of Termina worshipped the 4 giants in a similar way to the Zora and how they worshipped Jabu Jabu and Jabun.
17:24 Actually that is Majora. It is stated in Hyrule Historia that Majora gave Link the Fierce Deity Mask.
44:45 Actually he did not have the triforce of wisdom. That triforce piece was hidden away. It is stated in Hyrule Historia.
Personally I am not a fan of Commonwealth Realm. They include a lot of fan theories in their information which I personally do not like. I also agree that the change in narrative is kind of annoying. I would like it if the Zelda community got a channel similar to MrRhexx and his Skyrim lore videos.
Charles .Firebird97 I have never read the Hyrule Historia, so I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of facts that I don't know about. I got my information from the Zelda Wiki. Thanks for your information though.
Dominique Jackson That's understandable. Not everyone has read Hyrule Historia and the Zelda Wiki isn't the best source of information, however it isn't bad.

Just thought of something:
Child timeline: Ganon dies in Twilight Princess but reincarnates in Four Swords Adventures
Adult timeline: Ganon dies in The Wind Waker and never comes back
Downfall timeline: Ganon is banished back to the Sacred Realm in A Link To The Past and attempts to resurrect him have occurred in Oracle of Seasons & Ages, A Link Between Worlds, and The Adventure of Link. Ganon did return in the original NES Zelda, though since you had to acquire the 8 pieces of the Triforce of Courage.
So by that logic...
Child timeline = Reincarnation
Adult timeline = Death
Downfall timeline = Resurrection
in the Child Timeline Ganondorf was banished to the Twilight realm. he eventually dealer and was killed by link in TP. simple as that

1. Why did the Triforce of Power leave Ganondorf at the end of Twilight Princess? And where did it go? And did the other two pieces remain with the blood of Zelda and the Spirit of Link?
2. Why and how was the Triforce split after the events of A Link to the Past, since the Triforce of Wisdom and Power went to the Royal Family and Ganon respectively.
I really like the idea of making a video about the history of Hyrule but the different voices is REAALLY putting

It's hilarious that the timeline ends with the Zelda game that no one aside from Dan Avidan likes.
There is just something so special about Zelda that no other game company can recreate... I think it's the lack of actual story or progression in that story... Like a multiverse where the same story is repeated but with slight changes and we create our own interpretations and our imaginations run! The score has a major component to it along with the art styles there isn't anything like it and it's just weird in a good way...

Should've had Vortexxy narrate the portion of the timeline of OoT into the Downfall Timeline.
And should've had the entire timeline told in this order: Unified Timeline > Stays unified into the Downfall Timeline, originally Link fails in OoT > Zelda in either Zelda I or Zelda II (the games) wishes with the Triforce to prevent Ganon in the past creating the Adult Timeline > The events of OoT (the game we actually play) repeat in the Adult Timeline (technically), and at the end of the game that Zelda creates the last Timeline, the Child Timeline > Adult Timeline (Wind Waker and so forth) > Child Timeline (Termina and so forth)
That's a linear concept of the timeline based on Vortexxy's interpretation. It helps to explain why there are 3 timelines because for a long time people thought there were only 2.
AlbaCOR3 True, in Zelda 2 since Zelda in that game is SS Zelda, wished for a better outcome in the past. Due to that, OoT Link should've died, but that wish saved his life and saved Hyrule in OoT.
Yeah, that's my preferred way of seeing the Timeline. Keeps it linear and sensible.

Watching this video made me realize something that could be relevant. So around the time Zelda U was announced, maybe a few months after, I remember reading a bit of information that was/is posted on the official Nintendo Japan website. The description of the game suggests that Link will face a "new formidable foe". It's been some time since I've played Twilight Princess and have yet to touch my copy of TP HD, so something I had completely forgotten about is that Ganondorf was straight up killed this time around. Upon being reminded of this by this video, my mind immediately recalled that statement of a new villain. Piggybacking off the popular consensus that the game will take place in the Child Timeline, I feel more than ever that it will take place after Twilight Princess. My thought process for this stems from a number of things, but Ganondorfs death in TP and loss of the Triforce of Power could solidify it. With the King of Evil out of the picture, and likely to not have been reborn/resurrected until the events of Four Swords Adventures, this could paint the way for a new villain to take the stage and possibly claim/use the Triforce of Power. Just a thought. While I'd love to see Ganondorf in this world, not every game needs him I think. Seeing another original villain added to the series would be nice. And seeing as how pretty much every villain introduced in a 3D console Zelda game have been quite memorable, maybe we could potentially see this villain make a return in a future title if they are memorable enough. I'd love to see a sequel to OoT/MM, but there are some things that, for me personally anyways, would place this game in a different time period instead of after the events of those games.
You got one guy with a great voice and then some other guys who just don't have it.
Even though the Downfall Timeline claims Link lost against Ganondorf, I like to think that by changing the future throughout his journeys to the past (such as obtaining the Eye of Truth and his quest in the Spirit Temple), he created a new branching future in which he left the older future without a Link to protect it. This downfall would be more so an unfortunate consequence of time travel and not actually a what-if situation.

I prefer the think of the Downfall Timeline as not what would happen if Link died, but if Link never traveled through time in the first place, basically not even starting his quest.

Wow, Jason Damron is an Amazing voice actor. His voice reminds me of Colonel Campbell from Metal Gear and of how I would always expect Rauru to sound if he were ever to be given a voice actor. If a Hyrule culture really did exist...
I hope future Zelda titles reveal more about fierce deity link. It's possible that he fought against demise even before Hylia and the first hero did. Think about it - Demise was said to be craving the power of the triforce in order to defeat the gods and claim hyrule for himself. As arrogant as we've seen Demise's incarnations to be, they have never started a battle against the hero or the light going in with full power. Why would Demise want to start off a fight with power that isn't his own? My theory is that his loss against the fierce deity made him realize that he can not defeat the gods with his own power alone, rather to use the power of the gods against them, explaining how his obsession with the triforce came to be

Enjoyable video, however putting in fan theories as facts really does the timeline little justice, but more so fan service. If anyone wants a more understandable explonation of the timeline as a whole without fan theories, go check out *GameTrailer's The Legend of Zelda Timeline video*. Brilliant video and makes it all easy to understand by going first from per game per release date, to then piece them together timeline wise.

+Pericat Trust me, the lore of the games do not affect your playing experience in Zelda. My favourite is Majora's Mask 3D, but for your first Zelda game, Ocarina of Time 3D would be your best pick. It's a really good core-Zelda game.

How is that a dumb assumption to make they all look completely identical. Actually, not all Links and Zeldas are descendants from the ones who came before, Link in the WW is not related at all with Link from OoT, for example; they simply look extremely similar to each other because they are bound by the curse that Demise placed on the original Link and Zelda in SS, as the curse makes the "spirit" of the original Link and Zelda reincarnate in the next ones, whether they are blood related or not.

If the Hero's Shade was from a Hero of Time who suffered a violent death; I dread the thought of an enemy powerful enough to do it not to mention that the Hero's Shade is as tall as the Fierce Deity which can possibly mean that the Hero of Time was killed while wearing the Fierce Deity's mask which is a terrifying thought considering the ease that Link while wearing the Fierce Deity's mask had with slaying a being as powerful as Majora's Mask. Majora's Mask is also more powerful than most people think due to it constantly using it's power to slowly lower the moon to crash into Termina instead of just simply pulling it from orbit and causing it to crash into Termina at a simply speed to the Moon's tear.

In Breath of the Wild, Hyrule already exists, and is in ruins, so it can't be before Skyward Sword, as Hyrule was only founded after that game. The main theories right now are that it will take place in one of the 3 different timelines, which one is still uncertain. And there's also a theory that it will take place in the future, in a point in time when all the timelines are merged back into one.

Help me understand something. So in Ocerina of Time link pulls the sword then wakes up after 7 year. When that done a new timeline is created. So were there two links at the same time after the 7 seven years just before Gannon's defeat?

I never cared much for Wind Waker I just didn't like traveling on sea. I've only played the Original, Zelda 2, Ocarina, Majora Mask and Twilight Princess. I feel like Majora Mask was a true follow up of Ocarina and I think Twilight princess would've been a great follow up to Majora's Mask cause it looks more like it takes a few years later to Maria's mask. That fallen hero timeline doesn't really much make sense cause there really wasn't a bad ending to Ocarina in the game itself especially when you fight Ganondorf.
Wait a tick, the Master Sword isn't in the ruins of the Temple of Time in ALttP since the Master Sword is in the Lost Woods. The Temple of Time was never even close to the Lost Woods, so the Master Sword was moved there after OoT, and that's where it has stayed in the Downfall timeline.
Now, the location of the Master Sword in TP, however, really eludes me. It's heavily suggested by the environment (Saria's Song playing, Skull Kid playing hide n' seek, etc) that it's hidden in the Lost Woods, but when you get to where the Master Sword is, and eventually the dungeon there, the place is called "The Temple of Time".
i find it sweet that Link and Malon tied the knot. in Ocarina of Time, Talon, Malon's father offered Link to marry Malon though this was a joke due to him being a kid. so here's what happened. upon returning to Hyrule and seeing Lon-Lon Ranch reduced to rubble and remembering Talon's offer for Malon's hand in marriage, tracked them down to accept Talon's offer and the two were officially married.

Out of all plans Ganondorf made I understand the one from the Wind Waker the most. Ganondorf just wants his home back. And this king of boats kills it completely. At that moment I thought to myself: "shit. I fought for the wrong side".

What do you think about my theory of the dark interlopers mentioned in twilight princess being from numbers of the Gerudo which were at the time known as the wind tribe from minish cap (although certainly before they ascended to the sky). ALL of these groups are shown to have a magic tradition. thoughts?
