Awesome job... its 100 dollars if i work on it... 200 dollars if you watch... 300 dollars if you worked on it before me... and 500 dollars if you help! 🤣🤣🤣😅
What I really like about your work is that you don't pull any punches when you are having problems and show exactly what you do to solve them. Thanks so much!!
I enjoy your channel. I am in North Georgia. North of Atlanta. Been in HVAC for most of my working life. I was diagnosed with lung cancer last January and was forced to retire. Watching you helps me since I can't get out there anymore.
They confuse you with the shaft end thing. You got it. I think you may be right about that guy with the thermostat. If that unit has the "c" wire, he may be ok, but it being that old I doubt it. Nice job man.
All that fighting with that grommet, needing to reverse the motor leads and going to get the new cap gave that old compressor more time to cool and reset. Thanks for sharing Curtis as always nice work, nice work ethic.👍👍🇨🇦
I never seen houses with package units in the Northeast except for trailers or mobile homes in Pennsylvania anyway and probably the rest of the Northeast I'm assuming that's very popular in the south
Curtis thanks for the videos. I have learned a lot form you, to help me whith my job as a maintenance specialist 2 at a major hospital here in Michigan. Keep up the great work.
I'm from the northeast Pennsylvania I never seen houses up here with package units mobile homes but not houses that must be very popular in the south is that right
I can usually do simple wiring jobs, but I installed a programable thermostat on my 10-year-old unit and it only lasted a few months. Our AC guy determined it wasn't suitable for our unit. $125 later, we had a functional unit. Nuff said.
I really do appreciate the videos man. Just got out of school and have been incorporating the information from your videos into the work I’ve been doing. Thanks for making a difference in my life man
It's really enjoyable to watch your videos - you don't constantly whine about "I hate ", you don't mock the comments the viewers leave, you don't try to constantly peddle unnecessary products or services through your videos (referral links in video description are perfectly ok) or to your customers, you don't discuss any cringe politics. You just fix stuff, that's it. I wish more HVAC techs were like that, especially the ones who post videos on TH-cam.
if you were concerned about low charge, you could just take the refrigerant pressure at static, convert to temperature, then take ambient air temp and compare.
I think he said he knows how to replace the thermostat but yet he’s asking him if he needs to change it if you know how to change it, you would just change it you wouldn’t be asking a license AC tech if you could change it or not
The fan direction is why i prefer working with 3phase. You won't find that in residential, though, unless they install a converter and idler motor. I have seen 2 that have to run a small shop in the garage/barn. Good job.
Use the right tool. Those fancy adjustable pliers isn't the right tool. A pair of needle nose vise grips is the tool you needed. Which should be in every repairmans tool bag or box.
Get yourself a bag of Romex clamps or some snap in bushings for 1/2” knockout holes and quit struggling with those factory plastic wire clamps. The wires on replacement motors are thicker. Those factory clamps can’t accommodate the wires on new motors

I see you got a helping Helicopter hanging around and helping you.
What I really like about your work is that you don't pull any punches when you are having problems and show exactly what you do to solve them. Thanks so much!!
I appreciate that!
You got a lot of patience with someone chattering away while you're trying to concentrate on what you're doing.
Patience is a must!
Plus , he's an electrician .

Glad it helps
Put in several of those motors. Yellow and brown one direction, yellow and purple the other direction . Black hot, orange hot. Purple on cap.
They Named the Company, RHEEM, for a Good Reason. 😬👍
CW (OSE) stands for CW Opposite Shaft End. You need to use the CCW (OSE) wiring diagram. That would make your motor CW shaft end.
Polite and a Gentleman....you are!
Wires keep getting shorter and shorter. 😄
People that do not give up have my respect!
Another happy customer great job Curtis
Should have got the tennant to help with the motor wiring 😊
They confuse you with the shaft end thing. You got it. I think you may be right about that guy with the thermostat. If that unit has the "c" wire, he may be ok, but it being that old I doubt it. Nice job man.
You got yourself there what Ted calls a "Helicopter".. Nice work
As always appreciate your videos. Been in hvac for 35 years. Can't always go smooth. Hang in there brother
Thanks 👍
Curtis,OSE stands for “opposite shaft end”. Hope that helps in the future installs. Love your videos Curtis keep them coming.
Cool, thanks
Great video, start training in April up here in Ohio and your channel has given me more knowledge about this trade than anything else online!
Thanks, I’m glad it helps.

Thanks
Good thing you were not wiring ⚡ a thermostat. Big fan 🪭 here!
Thanks 👍

“Going the wrong way” haha hate to see it.
Love the videos man. Thanks for the upload
I'm from the northeast Pennsylvania I never seen houses up here with package units mobile homes but not houses that must be very popular in the south is that right
No mainly split systems, the less common thing to see down here though is gas heat
That Guy is going to try to install a Thermostat and have to call you back out because I bet he won't program it correctly xD
I made it to the part where you said it yourself xDDDDD

They just need to wind all motors where you have reversing wires that would simply things a lot lol
I like the channel I am in middle of Alabama
Thanks
I like mercury bulb stats myself. Looked like a 4 bulb with split levers.
OSE… opposite shaft end
What determines the number of fan blades on the motor. I see some with 3 and some with 2.
Great channel.
I think he said he knows how to replace the thermostat but yet he’s asking him if he needs to change it if you know how to change it, you would just change it you wouldn’t be asking a license AC tech if you could change it or not
gracias maestro por el video ,cuanto se cobro por el trabajo?
Más de seis cientos
They installed that one wrong, I can see the pad. :)
😂
Yo odio cuando las personas me hacen preguntas mientras estoy trabajando Tío 😅
No me molesta demasiado

Some three phase has single phase condenser motors
Hey Curtis what's the charge for you to come to Texas and do a PM on my AC? Lol
That upper breaker is installed incorrectly in most jurisdictions: Never down for "on". Not your job.

You cut the lug off to quick.
"electronic technician"
ooooo an electronics technician.. lol. Yea sure but do you even know what type of heat you have?
Counter clockwise
👍👍😊😊
Let the man work and stop with the groupie treatment.
You don’t need separate capacitor follow directions for CCW (rotation is from lead end) 3 wire hookup
Remind me not to buy any of those motors
😎👍
Just look at the fan you know the direction it should go
What the hell is that guy talking about? I don’t even understand everything you saying.
The worse kind of motor
Nice work man 😊those instructions are slightly confusing 🫤
