- Demoing the Geo Ripper mini trencher. Whats nice about this machine is it only leaaves a 1 1/2" trench with very little clean up. Great for irrigation line, electric line, internet line, cabling, etc.

Fantastic presentation of the tool. Great job! I want one.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Great for lawn irrigation and low power cables

Chop saws and concrete saws have circular blades. It's like a CHAIN saw.
Nice jobs
I really think a walk behind trencher would be a much faster safer and more efficient machine for this particular application but it would be awesome fort the small 2-4 foot trenches off of main trenches when doing a full irrigation system. Either way it looks like an awesome tool to have.
I do agree about the saftey of it but the speed is un beatable pending on the depth. I wanted to put it to the test. I would say this machine would be great for putting in swing pipe going to the sprinkler heads or doing edging for landscape.
Impressive
What model is yours?
At 6:43, I thought you were going to say if you got chaps wear them!
Any drawbacks to using the black poly pipe for networking cable? I have never seen that done before. We would always just use grey electrician PVC pipe. Where do you get your black poly pipe?
No draw backs to it. Your local irrigation supply shop should have it in stock.
Hello. How do I can sharping the chain ? Geo ripper
I would assume it would work excellent in tight spots the big trencher can not get, for lateral lines 3/4 to 1/2”
Yes it would work great for that.
Será que la consigo para Colombia?

where do you get the dirt to replace back into the trench ????
That's the one flaw that I noticed is that it throws the dirt everywhere. If it was a new construction it would be easy to use whatever dirt. But when it's in a grassy section it does leave a small dirt hill that can be put back into the trench but will not be enough to fill it. Hope this helps.
Very interesting I love that tool I’m curious if I could rent one
You probably could. Just contact your local irrigation/landscape suppliers or maybe look on GeoRippers website to find dealer.
Often your dealer will allow you to demo one for a day. That’s what we did through one of the irrigation suppliers who is a dealer. I used it for a full install in a established landscape and convinced the penny pinchers in charge to order one that day.
I want to purchace 4 set
Did you call before you dug? I don't see any pain marks.
Yes. There were no lines or pipes nearby.
Noones wondering what happens when you hit a root??? Or old unmarked cable?
Not sure as I did not hit one, But i'd say it would not cut threw the root depending size and same goes for cable.
Cît costă ?
Hey I just bought one 3.4k total how long do the chains last you
Depends on the soil. Anywhere from 8hrs to 🤷♂️
The chains last about 1000 linear feet but can range anywhere from 800-4000 linear feet. It just depends on the dirt, depth and how well the operator uses it.
Aqui no Brasil não tem essas máquinas vou tentar, improvisar uma se poder tirar algumas dúvidas, elas seriam correntes de moto e o motor seria das motos serra ? Muito obrigado
Excuse me, where did I buy this? I live in Vietnam, I want to buy without knowing where to sell

Not sure for you. Google geo ripper..
Where did you buy it from or the best place to get one i look on Amazon it like 3K
Automatic Supply is my distributor. And yes around 3k, they are not cheap.
@@mattschannel1784 we just bought one with the cart and an extra 2 chains for $4.095 shipping included....will update on how it works for us....we have to get 12" deep
3k????? Why not just modify a cheap chainsaw?
@@kornbread5359 The modification is installed onto a stone cutter, looks like a chain saw but everything has bigger dimensions
@@kornbread5359 Chassis is not heavy enough and air filtration is inadequate on chainsaws.
Como puedo comprarlo vivo en colombia

Prefer 4 stroke
This is the 8 Series HD 2 stroke it also comes in the 7 Series which is a 4 stroke.
Looks dangerous
It could be, but what equipment isn't?
@@mattschannel1784 YES definitely!!!!! this one will be on the ones owned extranly danger5
Use a trench shovel instead much cheaper and simpler
L o L I mean home project then yes. But if you’re doing weekly trenching i would buy one.
Much cheaper, but takes way longer
Pretty much chainsaw with slightly different bar and chain. They want to charge $ x10 more for it...Well, good luck.
More like a concrete saw with a gear reduction drive and a 1 1/2" wide chain for dirt.
