Rappers harmonizing?! Paradox in most, standard in the RP. To add to the anomaly, the lyrics contain humility and self-deprecation not synonymous with rap: dude's so enamored with the girl, works up courage and quells hesitation with liquor and pep-talk but is too afraid of rejection that all he can manage in the end is follow like a lovesick puppy and stare longingly from afar.

Side note: “Kita” has no direct translation to English or Spanish. I love you if translated directly should be “Ako mahal ikaw” but we never say that because love is given from one person to another to be shared so instead we say “Mahal kita.” Kita roughly means me to you.
Also, there is no he or she in our language so you’ll never see either word in any well translated Filipino text so when I write they, it doesn’t necessarily mean “sila” (direct translation of they), it could also stand for “siya” (non gendered pronoun referring to another person, in place of he or she)
Lastly, this is a clumsy translation compared to the actual lyrics. There are many things that just cannot be translated like the intentional use of a certain word to imply degree or intensity or context. The rhyming doesn’t translate. The wit doesn’t translate. Basically, the Tagalog version is better. Also I’m not a linguist so someone else could have a much better translation
