@@504yaj This is so true. And Usher has even called some of those artists out and told them that they kind of messed things up for real singers. When trends take over, realness ends up getting pushed to the back. But even he took part in it briefly with some of the EDM-type music he made. Folks weren't as really interested in that.
Usher came in and usher'd the tiny desk and reminded everyone. I think some of the bigger pop/dance songs make people forget that this guy is a perfectionist singer and the smoothest.
After watching several reaction videos and hearing the person reacting saying, “I didn’t know Usher could sing,” it’s clear folks were sleeping on him, even when he topped the charts.
