I was similar to Entrapta in Middle School, especially Sixth Grade. I sucked at picking up social cues and I grew anxious when someone got annoyed with me and twice as much if someone is angry with me. Then I got paranoid and constantly asked my schoolmates if they're mad at me every time I made one wrong move which only annoyed them more. I stopped doing that shortly before high school.

Though it's not from a TV show, I'd like to add Caduceus Clay from Critical Role! He's very literal, speaks in a flat tone, doesn't pick up on social cues, and is hyperempathetic, among other things! He's also quite wise and knows the perfect thing to say when needed, both comforting and snarky depending on who he's talking to.

I have been debating for a while whether or not I have autism. But regardless I am super bad with social cues and I don't always realize when I make someone upset or when I am being rude. Its really hard when I upset someone but I don't realize it because they are not clear with me or I can't tell. It makes my life really hard when I interact with other people. I totally relate to peridot and entrapta.

entrapta holds a place in my heart I am not autistic (I think) but I am not good with people in any way but tech and cooking allows me to connect plus she is very sweet to people she cares for
Hibiki have sth like "overhearing" to loud sounds (hipersensitivity auditory function ) and some sort of PTSD, so it's hard to say if he's problems are connected with that or with anything else -for example isolating himself from the others might be caused by his introverted nature, everyone talking too loud or just not having occasion to learn how to interact with others. Uta helps him somehow to (at least) tolerate others and spending time with them.
Twyla from Monster High and Donnie from the new TMNT are confirmed autistic. Also L from Death Note, Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, Dipper and Mabel from Gravity galls, Milo from Atlantis and Lilo and Stitch are autistic coded. I don't see how Pearl fits in the spectrum though
Entrapta was specifically coded with autistic features, Marcy was implied (later confirmed) to be autistic, and Hunter and Gus are… ones I haven’t considered. Might be because some traits are easier to pick up at times while other times it’s because not everyone has the same traits, not exactly. It may explain how it’s easier to see Entrapta and MarMar as on the spectrum while others are a bit harder to spot. That, or at least in my case, it’s because I was told outright at one point or another, be it forums or videos. That and Marcy and Entrapta are oddly adorable in my eyes.
Besides the relatable characters of these shows, I just wanna say that the voice acting in Bob's Burgers feels like if someone recorded an actual conversation of people haha!
As an autistic person most of these are very good and relatable but some are just off the table. I do know it is a spectrum though so I don’t think all autistic people are the same.
Like everyone autistic people have their own personality and act different and have diffent problems for me it’s social life in real life for some is getting alone or don’t understand jokes even if we are autistic doesn’t mean we act the same (sorry if my English is bad)

Sorry for bad English I'm not autistic, but sometimes i wish i were. Not cuz i think it's "quirky" or something but because i would knew why i am the way i am. I am neurotypical but i have a lot "autistic behaviors". I almost never get social clues or i can't tell if someone is being sarcastic. I get really obsessed with some things and i could talk about them for hours. I have figed toys all the time with me and if i forget them i clap my hands or something cuz if i dont i get really stressed. I zone out or get overwhelmed when it's really loud. People think that i'm weird. I was bullied in elementary school and when i changed schools the same thing happened. Now i'm in highschool but it's still the same. I feel too weird around "normal people" but at the same time i don't feel like i get "the neurodivergent kids" too I'm not autistic. I make eye contact eyesily and I don't struggle to talk to people. I've been to many different psychologists and no one ever suspected me being neurodivergent. I'm just a weird neurotipical... I'm writing this to find people who relate or something, idk And to all the neurodivergent folks: remember you are loved and you can always be yourselfes and don't listed to people who say bad things about you, you are not dumb or weird you are smart and beautiful and loved

Hey. So first of all, don't worry I understand you. I am glad I'm autistic. Not because I like it but because it feels good to know what's up with me. Making eye contact doesn't mean that you are not autistic. Sadly this is something that causes a lot of people to not get a diagnosis. I don't know in which country you live or how good the psychologists in your area are so I can't tell if that many psychiatrists disdiagnosed you. It's not that unrealistic though. You can have autistic traits and still not be on the spectrum. Since it is a spectrum it is quite complex. Of course you can also be neurotypical and just be "weird." I definitely feel sorry for you for feeling this way and I hope you'll find people that understand you. And I also want you to know that if it helps you you can totally use autistic coping mechanisms. Just because your neurotypical doesn't mean that you need to force yourself to be like others. If fidget toys help you then use them. If you stim then don't mask. If you find comfort in videos like these you can totally watch them. This is not about belonging to a group of people but about your mental health and you need to do what is best for it. Most autistic people would relate to your struggles and we are happy to have you be part of our community even though you are neurotypical. After all we face the same problems.

I'm autistic and was pretty much the quiet kid growing up. I would always babble on about what i was fascinated with or be easily angered by broken promises or deals (that counts as change). I mean i was still playing with megazords and transformers until i was 15. Then i statted getting more into video games. I spent my creative time on LEGO and kinex. Social interactions were harder when you had to try understanding and paying attention to things out of your ball park. ....is klutziness part of autism too? Because i am still to thos day something of a klutz. I had to rely on tv to undertand social cues. Even the. It was still hard.

No. Ocd is a completely different disorder. However some symptoms can might overlap and people with autism are very likely to develop anxiety, depression or ocd.

How does Hunter belong here? In the scene they showed, Hunter literally knows Luz better than she knows herself. He knows she won't actually use the weapon on him, which takes a sort of emotional intelligence that just doesn't seem autistic to me.
What about The Doctor (most of his incarnations I know of are autistic coded), Ducktales 2017 Hewy and BBC Sherlock (there's no such thing as a "high functioning sociopath" and Moffat even outright said he isn't a sociopath and apparently even envies the emotional detachment of the criminally insane)?

Hibiki have sth like "overhearing" to loud sounds (hipersensitivity auditory function ) and some sort of PTSD, so it's hard to say if he's problems are connected with that or with anything else -for example isolating himself from the others might be caused by his introverted nature, everyone talking too loud or just not having occasion to learn how to interact with others. Uta helps him somehow to (at least) tolerate others and spending time with them.
Twyla from Monster High and Donnie from the new TMNT are confirmed autistic. Also L from Death Note, Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, Dipper and Mabel from Gravity galls, Milo from Atlantis and Lilo and Stitch are autistic coded. I don't see how Pearl fits in the spectrum though

Entrapta was specifically coded with autistic features, Marcy was implied (later confirmed) to be autistic, and Hunter and Gus are… ones I haven’t considered. Might be because some traits are easier to pick up at times while other times it’s because not everyone has the same traits, not exactly.
It may explain how it’s easier to see Entrapta and MarMar as on the spectrum while others are a bit harder to spot. That, or at least in my case, it’s because I was told outright at one point or another, be it forums or videos.
That and Marcy and Entrapta are oddly adorable in my eyes.
Besides the relatable characters of these shows, I just wanna say that the voice acting in Bob's Burgers feels like if someone recorded an actual conversation of people haha!
As an autistic person most of these are very good and relatable but some are just off the table. I do know it is a spectrum though so I don’t think all autistic people are the same.
Like everyone autistic people have their own personality and act different and have diffent problems for me it’s social life in real life for some is getting alone or don’t understand jokes even if we are autistic doesn’t mean we act the same (sorry if my English is bad)

I'm not autistic, but sometimes i wish i were. Not cuz i think it's "quirky" or something but because i would knew why i am the way i am. I am neurotypical but i have a lot "autistic behaviors". I almost never get social clues or i can't tell if someone is being sarcastic. I get really obsessed with some things and i could talk about them for hours. I have figed toys all the time with me and if i forget them i clap my hands or something cuz if i dont i get really stressed. I zone out or get overwhelmed when it's really loud.
People think that i'm weird. I was bullied in elementary school and when i changed schools the same thing happened. Now i'm in highschool but it's still the same.
I feel too weird around "normal people" but at the same time i don't feel like i get "the neurodivergent kids" too
I'm not autistic. I make eye contact eyesily and I don't struggle to talk to people. I've been to many different psychologists and no one ever suspected me being neurodivergent.
I'm just a weird neurotipical...

Hey. So first of all, don't worry I understand you. I am glad I'm autistic. Not because I like it but because it feels good to know what's up with me. Making eye contact doesn't mean that you are not autistic. Sadly this is something that causes a lot of people to not get a diagnosis. I don't know in which country you live or how good the psychologists in your area are so I can't tell if that many psychiatrists disdiagnosed you. It's not that unrealistic though. You can have autistic traits and still not be on the spectrum. Since it is a spectrum it is quite complex. Of course you can also be neurotypical and just be "weird." I definitely feel sorry for you for feeling this way and I hope you'll find people that understand you. And I also want you to know that if it helps you you can totally use autistic coping mechanisms. Just because your neurotypical doesn't mean that you need to force yourself to be like others. If fidget toys help you then use them. If you stim then don't mask. If you find comfort in videos like these you can totally watch them. This is not about belonging to a group of people but about your mental health and you need to do what is best for it. Most autistic people would relate to your struggles and we are happy to have you be part of our community even though you are neurotypical. After all we face the same problems.

I especially think that Mabel and Dipper Pines are Autistic. I remember seeing specifically Mabel and I almost cried because shes almost exactly like how I was when I was younger. I wish that I had that show when I was younger to see that there are other people like me. And I’d also like to add Steven from Steven Universe. I’m not sure about adding other gems since they are aliens so they’d obviously act differently but there are some of them that do show autistic traits like Pearl, Peridot, and Lapis. I'm autistic and was pretty much the quiet kid growing up. I would always babble on about what i was fascinated with or be easily angered by broken promises or deals (that counts as change). I mean i was still playing with megazords and transformers until i was 15. Then i statted getting more into video games. I spent my creative time on LEGO and kinex.
Social interactions were harder when you had to try understanding and paying attention to things out of your ball park. ....is klutziness part of autism too? Because i am still to thos day something of a klutz.
I had to rely on tv to undertand social cues. Even the. It was still hard.
I think klutziness can be a sign of neurodivergence.
