I purchased this 3" chipper from a QV Tools liquidation on their website. They don't normally ship to Alaska, however they were able to ship it to Alaska Marine Lines in Seattle and AML delivered it to me. I was extremely grateful for their help and willingness to ship to me and for their great customer service. Numerous other companies refused to even bother to try working the problem for me. Even my local big box stores were telling me it would be a 2 month lead-time to get a chipper here. QV Tools had it to me in less than 2 weeks...including the barge trip from Seattle. The quality of the chipper seems very good and being able to chip up tree branches has been fantastic. Prior to receiving the chipper, I was burning limbs. Now I have an abundance of mulch. The 3" model would be a little small if I was running a commercial operation, but as I'm just clearing and maintaining my own property, I can be a bit more patient while feeding branches into the machine so it doesn't jam or stall. One of my primary criteria for the chipper was that it be small enough that I could move it around my steep property by hand since it doesn't have vehicle access. The 3" model is small enough that I can wheel it around and get it to the area where I'm working and back out again when I'm done. If I purchase anymore yard tools...like a stump grinder maybe..., they will certainly be from QV Tools.
All well and good, but is there a trick to get the machine running? Petrol on fuel. Choke is on. Speed slightly faster than Turtle. I can't find an on-off switch. I already have a pulled muscle from pulling all the time. So far unsuccessful.

Why don’t you show the starting procedure operating instructions are crap.
