    I love this. I was also a printmaker and I’m also a Ritchie. This is a beautiful work of art. My Dad Jim Ritchie would have loved this. He was a master tradesman builder in Scotland before moving us all to New Zealand.

      Hello again, Carole. I really appreciate your comment, and glad to hear you know printmaking. I would liked to have met your dad; we may have had a lot in common - even ancestors! If you locate our "round-the-world" video World Travel with the Ritchie Family, you see glimpse of Scotland. I like to brag about being a "MacRitchie." It looks like you are 21 hours ahead of us here in Seattle, so we could talk on the phone, they say. I'm looking into that. You say "was" a printmaker - but they say you get ink into your blood!

    Very nice video, Bill. I am very grateful to be the owner of a Mini Halfwood and as far as I am concerned, "It's Perfect".

    Hi Kev Caz - Coincidentally, two days ago I gave a short tour to a dozen graduate students from KKU. Not about presses, tho, and I'm working getting a press into Thailand for art education schools. The DIY I have in mind is the Mini, for prints between A6 and A5, and is USD750 fob Seattle. You want a Mariner, at $3750.00 fob Seattle. I'm pushing "small is beautiful" for the economies of these times, and I want to get a press to Thailand, as the nearest ones now are in Malaysia and Singapore. thanks for your message. - B

      +Enwogamwirion - I'm glad you like it! this video is from three years ago when I first hit on the idea, and about two dozen people ordered one. Now I stopped the DIY version - paradoxically, it was more work on MY end to make it do-it-yourself. Now I only send them assembled on www.printmakingworld.com. thanks for the compliment. - Bill

    Getting this!

      Wow - from my 8-year old video! But it's much the same, and refreshing to see the video. Does this mean you ordered it from Kughler? I hope so. Then you will be another among the 250 owners of Halfwood Presses around the world, you can see the encyclopedia www.emeraldaworks.com, and if you wish, you can be added to the next e-newsletter.

    Replica?

    • @BillRitchie
      @BillRitchie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for asking - it is not a replica. I made these until 2017, then I made an encylopedia of all 250 I made since 2014. I hope you enjoy looking. see my encyclopedia at emeraldaworks.com
