Just bought one of these from UK knife company along with a couple of other tactical knives. It's got a nice weight about it and handles well. Only thing I didn't get was the chest rigg. Still a great piece of kit and a well balanced fighting knife. 😀
Love this conversation about knife carriage. When I was a kid, our theory was to keep your knife and .45, if issued, on your trouser belt so no matter what happens in a hostile contact those things are on your person. Shoulder holster, were it an option, could get tangled in gear or difficult to get to. Knives were for field survival as well as CQB. None of our hand to hand training would really be appropriate for civilian self defense though. Something I really need to look into and get my daughter up to speed for self protection where a shoulder holster would be more appropriate. I don't think teaching her to gut, slash and tear everyone in arms reach is useful for a college kid.

While I’ve had great luck with the concealment of large handguns in shoulder holsters, I’d never thought of this method of carry for a knife. If I had a nickel for each of the times I’ve needed a knife and only had a pistol on me, I wouldn’t be a rich man but I’d be able to buy a sandwich.
@CothronTrust ah well just remember that, A in a knife fight, both always bleed. And B Keep you non dominant side forward so that your dominant side will take less hits. C, slashes cause much greater blood loss than direct stabs with less chance of hurting your hand, blood is slippery and people usually cut themselves while stabbing, when a quick left upper to right lower quadrant slash can cuase emence harm to your opponent with out risking the knife getting stuck inside of the opponent.

I don't currently carry one but a fighting blade can be a lower profile attack deterrence... unless someone is outright stalking someone(🙄) they aren't likely to be expecting that.... very few ppl are willing to press an attack against a knife.... unless they have a pistol they haven't presented yet....which is why i think? i don't carry a blade? Because if I'm drawing anything I'm wanting to pull the most lethal tool I have time on.... rather than try to crocodile dundee it..... yeah idk... Lol I'm working this out.... 😂 I guess it's still good to have.... bc there ARE scenarios where it'd be preferable.... for obvious reasons.... Very cool 🙏

What do you need it for? You realise if you get in a street fight and you pull out a big knife like that your going to jail? I guess if you need to open alot of boxes may aswell get it
