Baffles me why no car maker ever chose to mount inline engines flat?
Yeah, maybe oiling or the way the space needs are changed. VW, Subaru and Corvair is (was) as close as it gets.
U bought me some time I smacked that fan motor gently with a hammer till she loosened up and started spinning
Nice! Make sure to get it fixed though since it will stop working again once this problem starts. :)
Well my 2014 versa is 159 thousand with no problems
That's awesome!
Hey my Nissan Versa S 2021 makes the exact sound at 0:45 . I think it’s my radiator fan that’s making the sound ? I have seen the fan at times when it’s overheating it turn on and off over and over while I hear clicking noises a bunch ! My car the main issue is the car judders/jerks/jumping around and becomes unsafe to drive I always hear that noise right before it starts malfunctioning. Did you experience any acceleration issues like those before the fix on this vehicle? Thanks so much for your time responding 🙏
It certainly could be a fan motor issue, but I’d bring it to a local shop to make sure before installing any parts. I’ve also seen alternators cause noises and tensioners. So it needs a good inspection.
Hey I put my car into the dealership. It’s a 2015 versa and they’re charging me $900 to do a cooling fan assembly. They say my car has two fans. Is this correct and is it worth it? I feel like I could do this on my own
Sounds a little expensive, but not crazy money. It is not a very hard job for someone who is mechanically inclined. But if you don't have some tools like pliers, 8 and 10mm sockets and wrenches and some mechanical ability, it can be a tuff job. The plastic is also sharp sometimes, so be careful if you attempt it yourself.
Good luck!
Sounds like the CVT s goin
Nailed it!
Does that mean the transmission needs to be replaced?
Just picked up a set of mountain long reach double ratcheting box end, love them already. 1.1 including the diag right ?
Luckily they charged .5 for diag. So not too bad. ;)
Where do I go for this type of work?
Usually a dealership or a local shop that specializes in electrical, drivability or more involved repairs. Basically no tire or coupon stores.
