This unit was also equipped with a radar detection system hidden inside the glove box!
Armbruster-Stageway had their own specifications, features, and accessories for these magnificent motorcars. This privately owned Silverhawk was equipped with a unique rear bar console utilizing the Armbruster “Perm-A-Pub” dispensary system that delivered spirits housed in a steel box located in the trunk to the console bar top with the push of a button, as well as a covered ice chest with drain, stowable glassware, five crystal carafes, a TV/VCR entertainment system, auxiliary burled walnut work table that can be stowed in the trunk, power privacy divider, intercom phone system, rear heating & cooling system, separate rear radio system, and special rear compartment illumination with dual vanity mirrors.
Whether a formal way of introduction to your clients, or as an exclusive rolling boardroom on wheels for company brass to conduct business, Armbruster Limousines provide the ultimate discretion. And of course, it could be used for the private serenity these ultimate limousines were created to be. That is the case for this special, low mile example. Coming from private ownership over the years, this Silverhawk never saw any commercial use preserving it magnificently over the years! Recent servicing included new whitewall tires, complete exhaust system, and shocks(4) in 2016 along with new valve cover gaskets, new fuel gauge, and fresh engine oil/filter change in October 2021. Mannnnnn, I would rent that limo annnnnnyday over the newer ones them old caddy’s are just sexxxxy, and elegant and classy you just can’t top them they still catch your eye and turn heads till this day
my favorite car
LOVE THE CLOTH SEATS. MY LIMO HAS LEATHER. HT4100 IN A CAR THAT SIZE GEEZ...... MY 83 SEVILLE IS SLOW ENOUGH & IT WEIGHTS ABOUT 3,800 POUNDS. I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW SLOW IT WOULD BE WITH AN EXTRA 1,000 + POUNDS. THE ENGINE ONLY HAS 135HP WITH 200LBS OF TORQUE.
Good point about the powertrain. The factory GM Limos were running the 6.0 back then.
I wouldn't mind having that to drive people to the airport. But that's too much money
I wonder if Michael Jackson and Ola Ray ever wrote in this limousine while on the way filming Thriller
Awesome car from a time when luxury cars were big, formal, and classy. Unfortunately, the HT 4100 engine has to be terrible in there when loaded up with people. Usually, for a chassis used for limos, Cadillac would provide the previous 368 (6.0L) engine in place of the 4100. I wonder why that was not the case here as the 4100 was designed for the downsized 1985 Devilles and was never really meant to push the pre-85 full-sized Devilles and Fleetwoods, let alone a stretched limo.
