    Over the last 4 videos on props and trim tabs.. I think I figured out why my boat is so slow on 4S now 😆 Thanks brother!

    Great vid! My boat’s are collecting dust for a few years now but what you are saying is pretty on point with my findings! it looks like we’re very like minded, I’ve built an uncountable number over the years and even made my own prop’s but last few years ive been cutting the hobby back to minimal only having 8 boats left now I’ve sold off a fair bit of stuff, watching on the tube makes me want to get em out again. Ps glad you pointed out safety with ppe that dust is deadly! and some other alloys aren’t as bad as berilium but still don’t want to breathe them

    Cupping the tips of the blades keeps the thrust cone tighter n IMO Makes the prop more efficient that's the kind of props that make a long low roster tail n that is what u want .

      Interesting video. How do you think about the speed calculator (like on OSE site) as a guide? Found that my best performing boat (stepped v-hull) is near those those marks, lets say less then 5km/h... One of my other monos (carbon v, no steps) is way more off, so i am thinking there maybe something wrong with it. Maybe i am looking for speed that isn't there. Any opinions on that?

    What a great video. This will surely help alot of us rc boaters. QUESTION : Can you do a video on balancing a 3 blade prop. I have been told everything below the horizontal line. What if you have 2 blades below horizontal? Do you do them both at the same time? HELP !! TY Tony

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The lowest one is the heavier blade so it will need more taken off than the higher blade. That's one of the reasons I don't use 3 blades anymore. Hard to balance

    This little tutorial, together with your identification video (th-cam.com/video/fTOAubwUsZQ/w-d-xo.html) are the most useful and informative I've ever seen on the much debated subject of props. Forget all that technical and theoretical BS, this is totally practical. Awesome stuff founded on years of experience and experimenting. Thanks so much for sharing Big B 👌👊

      @@IRONCLADRC So here's a challenge for you bro! A little video on a simple way to measure prop pitch if it's not known. I've been looking and all I can find is stuff about full size props which seems very technical and not sure it translates well to RC boat props. What you reckon?

    The props you compared have different blade net areas.
    May be you should check this single assembly shaft and prop.
