Thank you so much for this video. I have made respect for those who function with just one hand. I just had shoulder surgery and am struggling a bit with my hair, so this was really helpful. I know this will pass soon for me, but it's been a great experience to understand some of the challenges that others face on a daily basis. I hope I don't sound like a jerk, I truly appreciate you and your video. 😊 Thank you!!

You have changed my life!! Lost the use of my right arm years ago in a car accident and one of the "little" things that really frustrates me is putting in a ponytail! I've always had my kids or hubby do it for me, but in 2 years, my youngest will leave the nest! Not to mention, they aren't always home when I get a hot flash, LOL! I cannot wait to try this!

Thank you so much! I'm a hairstylist and my client only has use of one hand. She is growing her hair out and was sad because she couldn't put it in a ponytail so as she was processing I looked this video up and showed it to her. She is very excited to go home and try it! Thank you again for sharing this 😊

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for posting this video! You honestly have no idea what this means to me. I have an autoimmune condition that limited the function and mobility of my elbows. I always wanted my hair to be long, but I couldn't put my hair in a ponytail any longer, so I always cut it to a short length to avoid assistance of family and help of putting my hair into a ponytail on a hot day, but after watching this video, it has indeed brought me joy. You are indeed a blessing! I will try as soon as I get home.

I had a stroke three years ago and my left arm is paralyzed so I'm living life with one arm too. I recently decided to let my hair grow out after keeping it short for easier maintenance. I've been searching TH-cam for a manageable way to put my way in a ponytail and I'm pretty sure I just found it. Thanks so much!

Karen Beatty I also had a stroke, mine was 4 years ago and it’s been so frustrating trying to figure out what to do with my hair and I don’t care for my hair short. I’m going to try this tomorrow morning and hopefully I will be successful, I’ve been having my kids help me but they’re in school during the day and my oldest daughter is married and doesn’t live close enough to help unless she is home for a weekend visit.

Thank you so much for sharing! i just broke my arm badly 2 days ago and I have been waiting for my sister to wake up or come back to help me tie up my hair but I knew there are some wonderful people with knowledge who would have kindly shared with the community and all it took me was a simple search!
Thank you so much, I have nothing but respect for all you are doing to help people, even if it's "as simple as tying your hair up", it's a game changer, you are our hero, take care!

I find it so amazing that you can actually do it just by one hand. I had a a stroke for 11 yrs now that i immediately do a bob cut once my hair gets long. Im not yet sure if i'll be able to do it but i know that persistency & lots of practice will pay off. Wish me luck!! Thanks for sharing this...it made my self-esteem a little bit higher.😊

I've never been able to master this exact method, though I've tried. What I can do, though, is twist my hair tightly until it goes into a bun, and I lean up against the wall or a tall chair to twist the hair tie, which I hold in my mouth until I get my hair where I need it. The problem with that, though, is bumpies. But if you don't need to look professional, it works. :)

I appreciate your video, but for me it has been very difficult to do my hair. I lost my right arm when I was 16 in a farming accident, my arm is very short it only reaches to a place just above the middle of my boob, so it doesn't reach high enough to help me do my hair. I was very impressed that how you do your hair, having no arm at all on your left side, so now I have the incentive to try a new way to do my hair. I never give up learning how to do things with my hand and my short nub. I love your videos, keep on making new ones.

I wish TH-cam was a thing back when I was younger and didn't know how to do this. I do something similar now. I had a stroke when I was 3 years old and have been partially paralyzed since. I would always get so irritated when I couldn't do cute updos myself. Especially I was in college, without my mom there to help me. It's videos like this that can really help people. Wonderful!
