That's a dream setup you've put together. For a long time I've been trying to work out an ideal combination of gear to DJ tracks and perform synced loops & fx. Originally that was focused on Live and Serato but I didn't like having to switch between the 2 apps on one laptop. With your setup though you're able to monitor both the Serato track waveforms on the Rane72 and the Ableton clip names on the Akai Force. Fantastic!
Have you found any better way to do this? Having to switch between apps is a killer, but without a second screen I don't see any other way. I currently perform using an APC40 MkII, but I'm trying to transition to a proper DDJ with Serato as the main decks, and launch stems/loops from Ableton when I want them

I'd like to configure my pioneer ddj srt1000 to be a midi controller for Ableton, similar but different application to what you devised for the beat gridding. Did you create your own midi script for that?

NO the controller was simply controlling Serato with no mappings in Live....

Would it work in a similar way with traktor an an allenn and heath xone 96 ? Midi for ableton are push 2 , apc40mkii and launchpad?
