- Today’s video is a little different. My Father-in-law was in the hospital, he needed help getting the custom harvesting done for a dairy farm that was out of high moisture corn. The corn was down, wet, and thin but I managed to harvest enough. The combine is a Case IH 1666 with the Cummins engine. Combine is equipped with field tracker and lateral tilt. I did the best I could getting video.

Some of that corn you could use a bean head on and get more of the corn
If your inlaws are costom harvers y dont you have them do your field ? I know its always differnt what workes for each farm you can buy a 1666 for under 10,000 and it would match your colection and do good for u i know your maticulas and know how to fix maintain one if any thing you can buy one for so much and make it worth more.

The local farmers that I've talked with here in Tennessee all say that their corn yields are down as well. They all lost a lot of grain out the back of the combines this year. Every field that has been harvested so far looks like it has been replanted. From what I've seen, the kernels were about half the size of what they should have been.
Nice looking combine that is the Cadillac of the day! That corn looks like ours at our farm being down and a crappy yield.

Corn needs heat units also to make great yields!! And sunlight!! Cloudy rainy wx may hurt yield more than u think!! Just my opinion...

That's a early 90s maybe from 89-94/95 then the 2100 series came out until 97 then 2300 series

Yea your definitely right on that. I have to watch for rocks but I had to go pretty slow that it wasn’t bad
