NZ does not need low skilled workers from anywhere incl India.
There are lots of low skilled Kiwis who have been unemployed for a long time and not enough housing.

NEW ZEALAND is full. Our infrastructure is struggling to cope with the number of people here. We cant even house our own citizens, because the housing has gone to Migrants.

your infrastructure is struggling because of pseudo-left policies and the migration of left lunatics from places like San Francisco and California who have managed to find jobs in urban planning and development at the city council level. Nothing to do with us Indians. Just see the empty cycleways in your neighborhood.

Employment in India is not going up - there are more Indians than ever leaving the country. In which world do you live?

@@Eddieteddy965 Indians are going out for better pay. if you want employment, then there is enough in India. But things are changing. Is better pay worth being stabbed in the tummy, by a mentally unstable maturanga dude worth it? Something to consider moving here.

There are 250K Indians in total in newzealand As of 2024. 😂 - 15k per year over 10 year = 150k. Tiny to be honest. It is fair and sovereign right of country to control who comes in. Anglo Saxons are least racist people in the world. They believe in FairPlay most of the time. It is a fact. I am happy to give this to them. If you prove yourself to be good, you can fly not so much in non English speaking nations.

Not panicking at all. Indian media is a bit over the top. Its normal for them.. This rule change will mostly effect the Chinese and other non-native English speakers like the Irish..lol

It’s because Indians are thriving in all these countries even more than native population who are on benefits by the taxes paid by south Asian community, mainly Indians. Jealousy, what else.

Problem is that India is not openly giving fake promises and fake marketing all over the world for inclusive culture, residency and easy immigration like these western countries have done from last decade or so.
After getting money of immigrants, the latter are just used and throw with the realisation that all promises of open acceptance and meritocracy was nothing but a facade so that govt can run their education business through immigration.

They already did for almost a thousand years including 250 years by Anglo Saxons took all the precious metals before 1950. Indians never went anywhere before 1970. World came to India. Congress destroyed India and now population is huge that even when there are few people from each part it sounds like a lot for others.

Knowledge of English, should be made mandatory to live in New Zealand. Too many here in Canada from the remote villages in state of Punjab who can just speak just Punjabi. Working just for Punjabi employer's. NZ does not need the turban culture. if you immigrate from Punjab, accept the culture of the new country. Leave your Bhangra behind. Lastly Punjabi food is overrated.

Kiwis need to do these jobs. It’s ridiculous to bring people from overseas for low skilled, low paid roles. NZ also needs to invest in their own citizens and allow a larger quota in STEM probably an unknown fact. For a small country we actually do produce a large number of academics however it’s NZ business and government that don’t want to invest, they want the easy quick cheap route which is import already made qualifications. The biggest misconception is kiwis are incompetent in high skilled roles. No the truth is it’s too expensive to produce the programmes.

Find me a Whānau who can solve partial differential equations. Though I agree with you, we don't need more Indians. We need more Chinese and other Asian women.
