I couldn't stop tearing during the whole performance as a Chinese. I was also touched by the incredible connection that arts brought to people, without restriction of time or location. Long sleeves are not a fashion statement. It was the traditional clothing of East Asian cultures or more specifically, Chinese in this instance. Face palm.
To be honest, I really really love this dance, but you guys' reaction about this dance is so awkward, I hope next time when you are going to do something similar with that do please do some research. I know there are huge culture differences in it, but at least investigating some context will help you to understand

对于我们来说，编舞作曲造型服装灯光效果固然很优美，但还是外在因素，这支舞能打动我们更是她所承载的历史/文化/传承，是中华文明对人与自然的阐述和理解。可能对于外国朋友来说不太好懂。

看这个需要了解一点中国历史。。。另外有一对南美的姐弟，姐姐还是曾经学过舞蹈的，看的时候就有提到这个舞的灵感来源。说实话第一次看我也没有很深的理解，单纯的觉得很美，当看完舞蹈的背景之后再看，就能感到另一层意思了
我觉得这舞他们看不懂。。。。。。。it's hard for a non-Chinese culture people to really understand the dance.
但是我觉得日本人韩国人会懂

这舞舞的是意境，洋人是领略不了的
多看就能领略一些了，现代的舞蹈主要表达舞者的情绪，上去就是一顿咔咔咔卡点舞步。古典舞蹈更多是观察周围的大自然、像是山川水流，动物鸟类等等的动作神情。推再久远一点，舞主要是用于祭祀时的动作。越往前推越“重”，刚开始确实会觉得怪，但是多看一些就能get到了。😂
说实话，让他们看，是在糟蹋东西。
