Assetto Corsa Competizione does exactly what it says on the tin. Surely, after over a year of explaining what the title is, you must know it is an official simulation of the Blancpain GT3 series. When I hear reviewers whining about wanting more content in ACC, it makes me think of someone who buys a bag of just red wine gums, then complains there are no other colors included in the bag. The FFB in ACC is just how I like mine anyway.... It's like a balance of power for DD vs non DD wheels.
I think the assetto corsa name in the new title make alot of sim racers expect same stuff in assetto corsa which is more like missing the point of ACC. The physics is better and once the optimisation is done this will be a classic

Balanced review William. On balance I respectfully deleted my copy for now (VR player). I hope to return in a few months time to a different experience and I suspect the game will eventually need a re-review as it might be 1.0 but that's in name only, it's far from out of early access. Kunos have clearly been to war with the Unreal engine on basic performance and stability issues and that must have cost them a lot of man hours for features and polish they intended and it sadly shows in this release, too Jekyll and Hyde to really enjoy.
You have to understand that AC engine is couple of generations old and adding support for new techniques, including raytracing would most likely result in even poorer performance than Unreal 4 which had been working on improving its engine for years. But that lack of modding is disappointing...
I don't recommend setting dynamic damping to 0%. It's not traditional damping and it actually limits the feedback you get the lower you go. Default 100% might be too much for consumer wheels but seems to work wonders with DD's (OSW in my case) for example. I personally am much much happier with the FFB in ACC than I ever was with the springy and wrist breaking stuff in AC. Now the wheel is your friend and not the enemy you have to fight against like it was in AC1. That completely dead mid-corner feel is also gone (there was no adhesion feel at all in AC1 on a flat surface). As a VR user I'm very disappointed about the VR support but thank god these days I can live with it and have a great time just driving. Because for me the physics and sounds alone are right now more than enough to overcome the shortcomings of UE4. Not sure how long though..
To be honest I feel like the ffb is a lot better in ACC than AC. I feel so much more in control of my car and confident with ACC. This is out of the box with a t300rs. I’ve had to do some tweaking in AC to get it as good as I could. Also I have never felt input lag . I’ve seen visual lag with the driver hands (turning them off solves the issue). My pc specs aren’t the greatest I’m running a strix GTX 970 with a i7 devils canyon. I very much disliked the envidia experience recommended settings. Before full release I was pushing high settings with reasonable FPS. I had to manually re tune my visual settings after installing the envidia driver. I haven’t found my CPU to take a hit in performance but definitely on my gpu being limited to my gpu memory at 4gb. As far as the racing I love the huge difference each car has, specially front engined cars have compare to mid and rear. The AI is challenging and very fun (:
I have a T500RS and the FFB in ACC to me is not detailed at all. Add that to the horrible VR performance, and I can't play it. If supporting this title means AC3, with all the cars, tracks and mod support of the first title, is well funded, then I'm happy to give Kunos my money. In the mean time, I'll stick to playing AC, RaceRoom, PC2 and rFactor2
I dont think this sim will last as long as AC, it will be unpopular within a year or 2 and considered as a mistake to even go for Unreal Engine, they should have defo went with their own engine. The first time I heard they were going for unreal engine i was like ohh nooooooo !!!!!... unreal engine is used by games like Tekken and Street fighter and still in them there are net connection issues, input lag etc... unreal engine only has decent graphics, but functionality is not so great and for a sim functionality is almost everything, take rfactor 2 for example, maybe not the best graphical engine, but the best functional sim out there with arguably the best physics on the market. sim racing needs functionality over glitter graphics.
well, gotta redo the comment due to some guy that apparently does not accept others' opinions. also I cancelled it for respect to William video, so. I was saying, imho ACC ffb is way better than AC one, at least when played with dd wheel (osw in my case). Tyre model is for me one of, if not THE, best among all current sims. I agree with the move of Kunos of evaluating more quality over quantity, played AC some days ago and I felt it is now showing his age. Now, let's wait and see if the guy still comments on this. Cheers from Italy William!
It seems a majority of the issues are related to the use of Unreal Engine 4, it seems to be a consistent theme, whenever games switch to Unreal Engine 4 as an engine, the graphics have the potential to be great, but everything else seems to go to shit. And, graphics are not always improved.
Nice review. Very fair. I'm expecting Kunos will continue tweaking the title for a while to improve it. We've all seen the great work they have done with the original AC. Additionally, with UE4, I expect in time, there will be some form of mod support whether it's official or unofficial. I bought a new PC for this and I'm looking forward to seeing and playing it on its highest settings.
Totally agree with your review. The graphics are gorgeous and the physics excellent. I'm using an Xbox 1 controller and the default setup is near perfect. Having said that, the FFB can be a little better, for example the left trigger is not vibrating when you break like in Forza. Also I like using a TrackIR5 when racing and it is not utilised at all in ACC. There are a couple of other rough edges, which leads me to believe that this title is actually still in Early Access. But overall, I don't regret my purchase and hope that it improves over time.
It's in the name, TAA is *TEMPORAL* anti-aliasing, it takes in information across multiple frames so artefacts are inevitable when there is any movement. Unreal literally has the best TAA implementation out there, lol
I am quite sure that most of the limitations mentioned in this review, especially on graphic side, are not due to a poor optimization of the game, but they are just UE4 limitations which hardly can be workarounded.
I understand what they tried to did, but it`s not working. 1 - Beginning with the concept. Trying to make just one category I understand, but just a BlancPain? Why? Where`s ADAC for example? Why should I play this, when I can play RF2 or even Assetto Corsa 1 with sol and have a multi classe racing experience? 2 - Again, with just one series I (which is bad enough), I would expect to be nothing less than perfect! Or almost perfect! I would want to FEEL all the experience. I want to enter the pits and have dozens or hundreds of people, in the box`s like real life. I want to see photographers etc. All of these are part of the racing experience. We have literally not even 1 person in pits. 3 - This game has a lot of elements that remind`s me an arcade game. Arcade games are fine, but if this game is supposed to be a simulator, I want it to be a simulator. The HUD is huge, and you can`t remove some things like the "track competence" thing. It`s BOYOND annoying. 4 - Next, there are some things. Really basic stuff that makes me asking, if the developers played any game before. Things like when you change some things in the settings and you click on "apply". It does nothing. The settings are applied but you don`t have any feedback from the menu. And to return to the previous screen, you have to click on "cancel" . CANCEL? Are you serious? 5 - Another thing that is really annoying.. the weather menu. I spent 40 minutes on the weather menu, before understand how it works! It`s incredible how they can make something that should be so simple, in such a mess. Didn't they learn anything with the other sims? 6 - Even the keys configuration . RIP for who want`s to play with a controller....apart from that, In my case I have a T300. I adjusted all the keys I wanted, but the streering wheel has limited buttons. So things keys like "camera" and other functions, I wanted to assign to the keyboard (again, like any other sim). NOP. It`s not possible! Once you choose the wheel as a controller, you can`t assign anything to the keyboard. How stupid is that? 7 - The UNREAL graphics engine, doesn't work for racing games. Sorry. Even on EPIC at 2560-1440, you will see jaggies and pop ups all over the place. Appart from that is an incredible limited engine for developers and for modders. Seriously. I could spend 1 hour writing more stuff but not worth it. RFactor 2 is by far the king for offline. Assetto corsa 1with sol for a little less serious experience and IRacing for online. Assetto Corsa Competizione with just 1 series for... I don`t know.
I agree with your review. Assetto Corsa was a brilliant base to build on, and this title feels too "scratch-built", undoing a lot of the progress they made in the very good previous title. I feel they wanted to go all-out on graphics and decided on UE, but instead got a very minimal result and some major AA/flickering issues in return - there is a whole thread regarding the AA being appalling on their forum, and I was trying to get it looking better all weekend, with limited success - i.e. it looks better than it did when I started, but not by enough. Another thing that UE has removed, is the great customisability of the HUD, and the way you could structure it any way you want to, and add/remove widgets at will, even whilst driving (on a straight, obviously, I'm not Pastor Maldonado). It does feel like a big step backwards now, and I doubt they will be able to bring it back with UE. That said, no racing sim is flawless, and it has its strong points. I did a hotstint of 30 minutes yesterday at Paul Ricard with 48X time acceleration - thus simulating a full day's worth of day/night/day transition starting from 17:00 - and it was superb and immersive, seeing the sun set on one side of the circuit, and then rising "half a day" later on the other side. It was so enjoyable that it made me decide that I am going to do a 120-minute race with 12X time accelation at every circuit. Keep up the good work!
I think they took UE4 for the ray tracing (shi***) that nvidia show at the RTX lunch in september (it was an ACC demo with reflection if I remember) Since it's supported in UE4 (4.22) or maybe because they are just lazy to rewitre the engine in DX12 with DXR / Vulkan themself 🤷♀️
A very thoughtful and balanced review. I believe this will ultimately be one of the best racing sims...but it still needs some development time to get there. In the meantime I’m really enjoying what it has to offer and look forward to it being fully realized.
I feel that Kunos are limited by the Blancpain GT license. It's probably the major reason behind the basic damage model and the lack of modding. I'm no expert, but some licenses are very strict with their content and it could have limited devs in many key areas.
Nice review. The modding limitation is not the engine, it's a decision by KUNOS and one that I hope they change. Other games developed on UE4 have open modding communities and a Modding Tool Kit allowing uploads directly to steam. Maybe we'll get lucky and KUNOS will change their position. EDIT: Another thing I've been experimenting with, is carrying over my AC Car Specific setups over to ACC (within reason and where applicable (not all are 1:1)). Some of the changes have given me a positive feel in terms of FFB response and car/road connection. Still fooling around with this.
My personal bet would be that they switched to Unreal Engine to “open the door” to something other than Windows. Unreal Engine makes it a lot easier to do a PS4, Switch, Android, AppleOS, or even Linux port. Even if Kunos Simulazioni isn’t interested in doing the porting, there _are_ companies that specialize in licensing the Windows game, and porting it to Android, iOS, Mac, and Linux - Kunos could just license the port and it’s zero risk to them, but with a decent chance of getting mobile gaming dollars.
I love the FFB You have a full motion rig don't you? and a DD wheel? I set my full motion rig to handle most FFB like road textures, back end grip etc, but set my wheel to just those that you would feel in real life, like wheel spin on corners or in puddles, or loss of grip. Just don't send too much info to the wheel and it works great.
Good morning sir! You forgot that there are 2 more ratings on the driver ratings: the racecraft rating and the competition rating. The competition one let's you enter in kunos' competitive servers and It's almost a full race weekend with long races where if you fuck up, your ratings are screwed. P.s. do yourself a favore and don't use Dynamic dumping at 0 :)
I notice you have dynamic at 0%. Transform your ffb by setting dynamic damping at 100% it does not work like normal damping. At 100% you will feel and catch the car sliding so much easier and naturally
I am pretty fresh in racing, so when i had a side draft effecting on my wheel i was amazed. Is that in other sims too? Brakes makes noise too, cold ones specially. I like this sim a lot.
The ffb during oversteer is not good enough in my opinion, it's way too numb to be useful for correcting the oversteer. I have no problem saving slides in AMS, rF2 and iRacing, but in ACC it's way too difficult for me at least.
totally agree with the review, all except the issue about the input lag really, ive not detected any input lag at all, i am only using an xbox elite controller though so i imagine a full wheel/pedal setup might be different. i also think performance in general is pretty solid considering the fidelity of the graphics, i am using a 8700k, 2080ti and 32gb ram though (probably why i cant afford a wheel haha), i find performance really solid at 1440p and its comfortably above say 80fps at 1440p with max settings, truely max settings like mirror distance etc aswell. now that might not sound mind blowing for a 2080ti its a damn sight stronger than project cars 2 which at max settings could run at around 40fps on a night race with full rain and 15 cars or more on track, considering the rain in ACC looks way way better and i also think the night effects and lighting is way better i think its optimised ok considering, but i do have the best possible setup to run it. as for the other negatives, they dont really effect me personally but i totally appreciate how shitty it is if you use triple screens and high end wheel setups, i just think they had to go with an engine which can deliver the best experience for the majority even if it effects the minority using multiple monitors but as a game aiming for real simulation racing it should have been way higher on the list to get triple screens and FFB right.
Good review. I'd say it's simple: do you have a very fast pc and are a simracer? Get it. Exception is if you hate the FFB (I don't like it but don't hate it)
You do have force feedback in real life. Wouldn't make much sense if you wouldn't feel any forces through the wheel. Which you don't have are some artificial effects.
you can make files mod it from ac put it into acc make it look but big problems with not you going have to used steamshare option setup all 1.1 gb that help ac also keep tracks you have add onto it
That unreal engine always was an heavy engine and in Ac Competizione with 60 cars, raining at night with lights everywhere imagine the nightmare lol for me the first AC still a big game.
AI are incredibly frustrating, they are on rails and can easily drive through you like a cement truck. Other times they are super competitive and are the most enjoyable AI of any sim. My biggest ask is they fix the qualify 2 ignition start bug.
Thanks for a great review Will. 👌 IMHO, I expected the reasoning for selecting the "Unreal Engine" was to develop a more immersive visual experience. However it appears that in a side-by-side comparison PC2 has a solid upper hand in this area. 🤔 Then when you consider the lack of solid high FPS, lack of proper triple screen support, visual distance rendering and terrible VR support...!!! 😨 It is confusing and very disappointing...!!! 😮😏
William, one serious question upfront: did you play ACC since its 1.0.0 Release on Wednesday? I*ve purchased ACC back in September and have played aorund 30 hours without any serious issues. As of right now there are several issues: - had to start carreer twice because of a fatal error - you have to run a whole carreer weekend in one session because you can not leave after Practice, Qualy or Race 1. - running in Multiplayer Sessions brings "fatal errors" with it in 5 to 45 minute intervals. We were runnning 3 hour session with 30plus drivers in Build 0.6.x on Zolder in dry and even stormy conditions without even the slightest issue. Now I can't even run a single Session without any problems. - after being frustrated by not being able to run multiplayer i've tryed some singleplayer and boy is the AI killer.... they switch lanes in the middle of the straight by a full car width. And don't think it would matter if you are alongside them .. hold your steering wheel tight because there's a racecar an full collision course. Your existence is not aknowledged.
- I follow an AI car in traffic. the guy in front brakes into a turn, i follow him as closely as possible without touching him and BAAMMMM, punted from behind. All this happened in Lap 1 of my first AI race. I immediately went down from 89 to 80 on Safety Rating in not even half a lap....
What the hell is this? I'm furious right now. this can't be true! This game is so so so so far from being finished. Kunos? 505 Games? What are you doing?
Strange... All footage I have in this is of the 1.0 release. Have played at least ten hours of 1.0 and haven't had a single issue you mentioned, apart from the occasionally erratic AI which I mentioned in the review
Singleplayer is shit but I didn't get it for singleplayer. Multiplayer has some AMAZING racing if you get on good servers with 70+ safety rating (provided you're not a crasher yourself). If you want to drive with other good people, there are some servers. The driving level of most people is significantly higher than that in AC. I'd say it's definitely worth it since you can actually race with good drivers, but then again, I got it in early access for not a whole lot of money.
Thanks for the review! Bad VR, A.I., FFB and lack of modd support are major dealbreakers for me. Why would i buy this over an outmodded AC? It has better physics, but that is not enough for me..
The reason why they switched engines is because they got bought by investors that know nothing about anything and have big egos and so kunos had to please their investors by bending over, thus making a mess because investors know nothing of product. Hence the failed sales.
Nice review, thanks, but I have to disagree on a few points. Out-of-the-box Assetto Corsa came with 16 tracks, not 24, and the same can be said of cars. They added much in multiple DLCs over the year, so the comparison doesn't make much sense. UE4: physics code of AC is one of the very few elements that were kept from AC1, as already mentioned by the devs, so it's not related to UE. The answer to the question is a solid "NO", it was not a very good choice, given the poor performances (not even talking about VR) and support for trackir and triple-monitor setup. PS: you have a funny way of pronouncing "anti" (and "multi") :D
A. That's why I stated "The COMPLETE Edition" of Assetto Corsa, as in the final released version B. That question I was asking was specifically in terms for physics, not for the full title
@@Simracingpaddock A. Fair enough, although litterally "out-of-the-box" it did only include the 16 tracks I mentioned, *on release date*, which is how it should be compared to ACC (and not years after, with extra DLCs that came after opening that box). You're saying it has considerably shed weight, but a fair comparison would show it hasn't. B. Exactly, and the physics were not taken from the UE, it was ported from AC. What I'm saying here is, a fair comparison shows the team could produce about the same content as AC, though in more details, in a much shorter development time thanks to the UE (and thanks to the physics being already developed!). But unfortunately this came at a cost, as you are saying yourself in conclusion: perhaps it wasn't the right choice for a simracing engine. We'll just have to wait and hope :) And of course the question is, would another engine have been better? Like Unity?
Unfinished business... Going to wait for a huge discount on Kinguin or G2A. Strange, the idea is awesome, it's my favourite series, but the execution is so bad... Feels more like an arcade/console game than a real sim.
What a FLOP for a AC successor! I'm not spending money on this! If you have the original AC, stick with it, if not, then buy the original AC and stay away from this Unreal Engine" crap!
I'm sorry if I listened to the review a little distracted, but is it me, or you just haven't said a single word about multiplayer? Cause if so, this entire thing was a obsolete waste of time.
@@Simracingpaddock On that note, have you ever gave Gran Turismo Sport another try after the latest review and streams a year ago? I have an enormous good experience with the multiplayer there, so that's where I'm coming from.
Damn the exiting racing is there but the feel is not. The FFB is too subtle. It needs work. Have been enjoying this but there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Good review
Please don't wait until 13 minutes into the video to mention input lag. Great honest review though like usual :>
Alteh what input lag are you talking about? I have zero issues with lag. It’s immediate.
What like turbo lag?
The AI is challenging and very fun (:
can you share you config with t300rs in AC (1)? BR, T300RS user :)
Switching to UE4 from their own engine was a huge mistake.
In my opinion acc looks worse than asseto corsa
well, gotta redo the comment due to some guy that apparently does not accept others' opinions. also I cancelled it for respect to William video, so.
Competizione in English is translated to Competition.
It seems a majority of the issues are related to the use of Unreal Engine 4, it seems to be a consistent theme, whenever games switch to Unreal Engine 4 as an engine, the graphics have the potential to be great, but everything else seems to go to shit. And, graphics are not always improved.
Thanks for an honest, balanced review Will. I appreciate your insights.
Wait so does this means this is full release then?? I thought it was going to take a few more months :/
Great review
But overall, I don't regret my purchase and hope that it improves over time.
did you try turning up LOD for distance objects. Have seen no appearing items.
Tbh disappointed with it let's see if they patch it further down the road. Unreal was a mistake. Looking forward to Automobilista 2..
I'm with you on that front...!!! 👌👍
Is this evening coming on xbox one or ps4?
It's a Gallardo!
Love the game but something went wrong here. I suspect it’s pressure from the license....
Game is not fit for full release should have remained in early access.
I think they took UE4 for the ray tracing (shi***) that nvidia show at the RTX lunch in september (it was an ACC demo with reflection if I remember)
Since it's supported in UE4 (4.22) or maybe because they are just lazy to rewitre the engine in DX12 with DXR / Vulkan themself 🤷♀️
Mate, can you make a benchmark for this game?
Nice review. The modding limitation is not the engine, it's a decision by KUNOS and one that I hope they change. Other games developed on UE4 have open modding communities and a Modding Tool Kit allowing uploads directly to steam. Maybe we'll get lucky and KUNOS will change their position.
EDIT: Another thing I've been experimenting with, is carrying over my AC Car Specific setups over to ACC (within reason and where applicable (not all are 1:1)). Some of the changes have given me a positive feel in terms of FFB response and car/road connection. Still fooling around with this.
Great review, well done. Love the way you pronounce "competizione" and "simulazioni" 😂😉
No triple screen or VR? Is this even a sim?
Will this game come to Xbox/ps4?
They said it's dependant on how well the PC version sells if I remember correctly
Troy Telford but the old AC was on PS4 and Xbox already no?
I love the FFB
You have a full motion rig don't you? and a DD wheel?
I set my full motion rig to handle most FFB like road textures, back end grip etc, but set my wheel to just those that you would feel in real life, like wheel spin on corners or in puddles, or loss of grip. Just don't send too much info to the wheel and it works great.
How did you set what you feel through the wheel exactly ?
@@ivayloivggrigorov9959 depends what wheel you have.
I have the Accuforce direct drive wheel and its all in simvibe/simxperience.
Unfortunately, I do not have a motion rig at this time. Hopefully someday though!
More grip at night??? I think you'll find a colder track at night would have low grip !
Featuring Lucas Ordonez (original gt academy winner)
Also can anyone confirm my suspicion, that in longer online races you can actually have a real life team mate that split that long race with you`?
@@Jiepers you can
I hope Le Mans track is coming soon for Assetto Corsa Competizione !
Subbed
This game is worth it only if you bought it at early access
Martin Musiet right because when it was early access it was around 20$ dollars was cheap now it’s around 40$
The ffb during oversteer is not good enough in my opinion, it's way too numb to be useful for correcting the oversteer. I have no problem saving slides in AMS, rF2 and iRacing, but in ACC it's way too difficult for me at least.
Sound not at same level of Raceroom ? stopped earing there...
Not sure if your pun was on purpose, but if it was, BRILLIANT!!
totally agree with the review, all except the issue about the input lag really, ive not detected any input lag at all, i am only using an xbox elite controller though so i imagine a full wheel/pedal setup might be different. i also think performance in general is pretty solid considering the fidelity of the graphics, i am using a 8700k, 2080ti and 32gb ram though (probably why i cant afford a wheel haha), i find performance really solid at 1440p and its comfortably above say 80fps at 1440p with max settings, truely max settings like mirror distance etc aswell. now that might not sound mind blowing for a 2080ti its a damn sight stronger than project cars 2 which at max settings could run at around 40fps on a night race with full rain and 15 cars or more on track, considering the rain in ACC looks way way better and i also think the night effects and lighting is way better i think its optimised ok considering, but i do have the best possible setup to run it.
as for the other negatives, they dont really effect me personally but i totally appreciate how shitty it is if you use triple screens and high end wheel setups, i just think they had to go with an engine which can deliver the best experience for the majority even if it effects the minority using multiple monitors but as a game aiming for real simulation racing it should have been way higher on the list to get triple screens and FFB right.
Atleast the force feedback is better then PCars series that still likes to reset itself mid race when it wants.
So AC:C is basically GT Sport?
What??? There is offline functionality from day one though so...
Good review. I'd say it's simple: do you have a very fast pc and are a simracer? Get it. Exception is if you hate the FFB (I don't like it but don't hate it)
All preference. For a long time iRacing was my favorite FFB. Now my favorite is ACC.
IMO sound is better than r3e
Wing I would agree for the GT3 cars. Sector 3 has to engineer sounds for so many cars from so many eras though, so perhaps it’s not a fair comparison
You do have force feedback in real life. Wouldn't make much sense if you wouldn't feel any forces through the wheel. Which you don't have are some artificial effects.
you can make files mod it from ac put it into acc make it look but big problems with not you going have to used steamshare option setup all 1.1 gb that help ac also keep tracks you have add onto it
what?
They were drunk with some dodgy Italian beverage for them even thinking of switching to Unreal engine, big mistake IMO
Off course. It means cancer engine or if u buy a 1000€ pc u can play with full grid that means 60 cars.
@@F_Souto even 1000 dollars not enough
Guess that's why Reiza Studios will have Automobilista 2 run on Project Cars 2 engine (MADNESS Engine)
I could feel my cpu melting
i dare you to say competitzione one more time!!!!
Assetto Corsa sounds better than race room
I hope this comes to console, I can't afford a PC
William, one serious question upfront: did you play ACC since its 1.0.0 Release on Wednesday?
I*ve purchased ACC back in September and have played aorund 30 hours without any serious issues.
As of right now there are several issues:
- had to start carreer twice because of a fatal error
- you have to run a whole carreer weekend in one session because you can not leave after Practice, Qualy or Race 1.
I'mnot gonna downvote your video, but I definitely cannot agree with you at this point ...
Strange... All footage I have in this is of the 1.0 release. Have played at least ten hours of 1.0 and haven't had a single issue you mentioned, apart from the occasionally erratic AI which I mentioned in the review
@@Simracingpaddock well, lucky you I guess. If you check the forums you will see many people complaining about similar issues :(
No true triple screen support ! .... A shame...
Amazing game!
Not that great. 😉😡
Lol no.
yes
My only complaint about ACC is the FFB.
This game with the original AC FFB would be amazing.
they just need to add more options to tweak the ffb.
This games amazing in VR. just amazing way better.
It feels way more realistic to. Similar to iracinf but the FFB is so much better.
Thanks for the full info, some of the bad points, specially UE4, prevented me from buying it for now, ill stick with the 1st one for now.
I Will buy it when it’s on ps4
Thanks for the review! Bad VR, A.I., FFB and lack of modd support are major dealbreakers for me. Why would i buy this over an outmodded AC? It has better physics, but that is not enough for me..
The reason why they switched engines is because they got bought by investors that know nothing about anything and have big egos and so kunos had to please their investors by bending over, thus making a mess because investors know nothing of product. Hence the failed sales.
Just keep playing AMS & AC and wait until AMS2 and AC2 👍 although i still enjoy ACC
The AA is horrible for me. I have Samsung C49 and it looks like Oculus Rift 1.0 to me
Nice review, thanks, but I have to disagree on a few points.
A. That's why I stated "The COMPLETE Edition" of Assetto Corsa, as in the final released version
Like Unity?
Didn't like ffb, dynamic damping at 0...
im at 75 gain and 20 road and the rest at 0
VR integration is pure garbage
Do you get paid a set amount every time you mention the title?
7:24
@@Simracingpaddock Thank you!
@@Simracingpaddock On that note, have you ever gave Gran Turismo Sport another try after the latest review and streams a year ago? I have an enormous good experience with the multiplayer there, so that's where I'm coming from.

What are you talking about?
VR is broken, they need to go back to EA.
If modding comes to it, it will be the one to rule them all...with updates😁
Damn the exiting racing is there but the feel is not. The FFB is too subtle. It needs work. Have been enjoying this but there’s a lot of room for improvement.
No problem for me with the Oculus Rift.

Enable ASW 45fps in Oculus tray.

UE4 is absolute crap I’ve played many games that use it and have had problems with it, very badly optimised and sucks up resources
Is unreal capable of handling a high caliper racing engine? No but it will handle ACC.
I have a 2080ti maybe that’s why I’m not having any issues in VR
