2015 was one of the most peaceful years in my life, with new consoles coming out, people outside and playing, bbq's friends, elementary was lit and Mk10 just came out and couch played it with friends and also water parks. Wtf happened to life? Everything was so lit but I think social media had a huge part of it IMO.
Anyways it's 2021 and life sucks atm but I'm trying to keep my chin up and work hard. Love you all and goodbye

Man I relate to this so badly. I really think my life sucks like what the heck happened, my will to live decreased, and I no longer feel happiness, I just feel numb, and often sad and want to just disappear from this world. The song is really great, but where I have issues is the video. It falls into some seriously stupid pop music tropes; singing really passionate things but in the video you're barely moving your lips, abstract and kind of dumb visuals that don't fit well together, have no flow, and overall add nothing to the song, and random moments of slo mo to state a few. Please, don't let this be what WOTE is now. Go back to some of your old stuff.
Absolutely 100% agree. WOTE is such a huge talent and it is sad that they spent so much money on a crap video. Hopefully this will be a lesson learned and they will go back to their old style.
Yeah, it's a bummer that this video (as well as the song's over-production) don't represent what WOTE is (or was) about - sincere simplicity. Got too much money to burn so they hired choreographed dancers, more SpFX artists, more digital gimmicks... and came up with something pretty common and typical of the Top-40 mainstream genre. Well, they can't ALL be gems. Nobody's perfect.

Scott - yup, that's how I see it too. The Big Shots at Sony/Columbia told 'em "Go nuts, guys! Money's no object! Make it look & sound like prime-time material, no more low-budget DIY bush-league stuff! Go hog-wild and bring in the Katy Perry crowd!" Oh well, they'll get to play bigger venues now and charge $80 per seat.
After seeing it a few times I also felt it was the video that bothered me I loved the music. Just watch it back and focus on there being no background dancers (1:18-1:37 example) No need for all those random people/jumpcuts, they are powerful enough by themselves. I just want to see them do their thing. Don't drown them in way to many distractions. Accentuate them in the little visuals like 1:18-1:37.

I think this video is incredibly WOTE-ly! Many commenters seem to be bemoaning the autotune-like effects and the high production values, saying they've sold out and the music is not their own... But to me this video just feels like what happens when you give WOTE a budget! I watched it three times in a row without trying to make sense of what was happening or criticize it, and honestly, their passion and musicianship came through stronger and clearer the more I watched. It's beautiful!

This song came out when I moved to Canada and my family and I barely had any money to even eat and I remember I would sit down in my living room and watch the music Chanel since I didn’t understand English and I liked the Rithym of the music. Now I look at my family and I and think about how greatfull I am for all the things I have and because my family stayed strong and together.
