One of the first things he did was dump the TEIN in favor of an MCA gold coilovers, where the bottom mount is fixed and the ride height is adjusted via the spring perch. Traditional coilovers have very short shock travel, because they use a shock cartridge that has to accommodate different cars. So it’s short in nature and it has to rely on the bottom mount to make up the difference in length. But if you want to optimize handling you need a full length shock with maximum shock travel, as JDM Yard found out.

They are a blast though
These guys execute every video/build to perfection. No corners cut!
I can't voice enough how jealous I am over this build. I think it's perfect! You guys do such an awesome job filming and editing it's a true joy to watch. Can't wait for Ep2.
ah.... just perfect start to the weekend. Morning coffee with G&G. Now all motivated I can go to the garage and turn some wrenches.
I live about 5 minutes away from the Plover water tower. Keep up the good work guys
Thank you for doing this build-series !!! FD's are amazing, Honda engines are amazing. So this should be epic.
Looking forward to seeing the build completed! The FD RX7 has always been one of my dream 2 seaters 2 own other than a Skyline, Supra and then of course my current project Car a '89 Honda CRX Si.
Been dreaming of this same swap on my Is300. Adding lightness is key...more power also helps ;). Many take aways from this build. Good luck!
So excited for more K swapped FD content! Love the looks of the FD but also love the reliability of a K series motor!
Thank you so much for this serie. It does genuinely bring joy into my rainy saturday afternoon.
Can't wait for the next episode !
I hope it goes well, and I’m glad it was already swapped before you bought it. Save the rotary engine it’s already dying.
The fd rx7 is just so beautiful
One of the most beautiful modern cars ever made imho
i swear if these episodes were 5 hours long, i would lose sleep to catch every second
Andy is a legend when it comes to K-swaps.
On the real....these vid series are stupid awesome. Just everything about them. How its presented, the over voicings, cinematography, ect. All A+. Then there is a k swapped rx 7....noice!
Yellow S2000 spotted on the lift!
Seeing the video at around 20 minutes and I thought it was going to take some time, but then I'm already pissed that I have to wait for EP2. Cheers guys! Hope you are safe there as well!
This car/motorswap by far is the best one yet, cant wait to see its official birth.
