    HI.
    So I set up one of my plugs to turn off when I leave, and turn on when I come back, and it's working fine.
    What I can't make work, is to do the same for the other phone in my household, to turn off the second plug.
    In other words, when I leave it shuts down my room, when the other person leaves it turns off the other room.
    It just doesn't work for the second phone.

      Without knowing anything about your setup, I'm not able to offer much advice here.
      If you're just using the Tuya Smart App itself, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to suggest anything. If you're integrating into Home Assistant, it suggests that the Person entity presence detection isn't working properly

    Hi, have you collected any non obvious setups for Home Automation? This would probably make a great show to help people think outside the box. I'll give you one I use in my study.
    I have 2 x Double GPO's , ( 4 outlets under the desk ) , where all my PC stuff is plugged into.
    1.PC_Tower ,
    2.PC_Storage ( 2 external drives that hold my backups and only need to be on at certain scheduled times to receive a selection of backups. ) ,
    3.PC_Monitors ( All 3 monitors ) ,
    4.PC_Bricks ( I have a power strip where all the Power warts are plugged in. Google assistant, 2 USB hubs , PC Speakers etc. )
    I also have a light switch on the wall for the ceiling light.
    The PC is used by the household each day and the PC shuts down by schedule each night.
    Automations:
    Each night at 01:00, Monitors OFF, wait, Monitors ON, wait, then every outlet turns OFF through a delayed cascade. Stop tinkering and go to bed.
    Each evening just before 1900, (Make Dinner), Study light Off, delay, Monitors OFF, delay, Bricks OFF.
    Between 07:00-00:30 , If I turn the Study Light ON, Turn PC_Tower ON, Monitors ON, Bricks ON .
    Between 11:00-00:30 , If I turn the Study Light OFF, Monitors OFF, Bricks OFF .
    So a day might be: My son comes in for a 07:15 Zoom, turns the light ON and the Tower, Monitor and Bricks get power. He leaves the Zoom, turns OFF the light and the screens and bricks go down. My wife comes in to WFO, Lights ON, Monitor and Bricks ON. By the evening I'm tinkering and the Light and Monitors etc go OFF to remind me to start dinner.

      That sounds like some cool automations. I'm definitely interested in maybe doing a series of some more atypical automations, Your automation is something I can definitely extrapolate from.

    Hi. Do you have any use cases conencting remote sensors via MINEW hub and ubeac Cloud IOT platform into the smart app?

      Sorry I don't know anything about the MINEW hub or ubeac Cloud IOT platform.

    Thanks for the video. I just setup a Lenovo Smart Plug that works with TUYA app too. The "confirmation screen" after you run a Sequence is annoying for me. I would rather there not be a screen that I have to hit "okay" too after I run a sequence. It doesn't seem like it is possible to turn off that "okay" screen though,...

    • @HiveMindAutomation
      @HiveMindAutomation  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not familiar with the "Okay" screen, but that's mostly because I only use the Tuya app to pair devices and get them ready to work in Home Assistant with LocalTuya

    Can I link my tuya smart app to Google Assistant and if so how do I go about it

    • @HiveMindAutomation
      @HiveMindAutomation  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you've got Google Assistant Compatible Tuya Devices, you can find in the settings for one of them a "Google Assistant" link button. From there you can link Tuya to your Google Assistant.
      That's where my knowledge of the Google Home platform ends I'm afraid.

    Thanks for the review. Did you see any power recovery settings? I was not able to find them in the app.

    • @HiveMindAutomation
      @HiveMindAutomation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, I didn't see any Power Recovery Settings. Most of the Tuya enabled accessories I've seen simply hold their last known state when AC Power is restored.

    Step one.... flash with tasmota.
    Step two.... laugh at Tuya followers.
    There API and HA intergation is the biggest joke in home automation...

    • @HiveMindAutomation
      @HiveMindAutomation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a new version of the HA Integration for Tuya.... but so far I've not had a good experience with it. Honestly, Tasmota is the better way to go.

    • @ausguy4385
      @ausguy4385 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HiveMindAutomation how you take a working community integration and make official and break almost everything while being the official integration and owner/developer of the API is case and point enough how rubbish the Tuya platform and tech side is.
      Luck they have a product that works well.... all be it flashed...
