If someone is still thinking about voting liberals they are actively working against Canada
Canada ranks SECOND WORLDWIDE AS BEST COUNTRY under TRUDEAU. Maybe you're thinking of when Harper and PP removed the safe water regulations across Canada at the expense of YOUR FAMILY'S HEALTH so frackers could make billions. Was that 'working for Canadians'. OH, I know, ,maybe you mean when PP voted NO on health care expansion, housing and grocery initiatives while WHINING THAT THE LIBERALS WON'T MAKE THOSE THINGS AFFORDABLE. Or maybe.... there is soooo much more. Do you want to hear more?
Say something that actually entails that you're worth no throwing into a wood chipper. Say something that isn't empty-headed nothing.
0.13 per cent of Canadians would pay higher taxes on their capital gains. Only a small share of corporations will be affected, noting in the budget that 12.6 per cent of corporations had capital gains in 2022 Pretending this is a "catastrophe" is deeply ignorant or dishonest. Even for those it does effect, they only make slightly less on the profit they make. Working against Canada? You are drowning in hyperbole, get help!
and if PP doesn't support this change then he is also working against middle class Canadians. Learn what the Inclusion rate on capital gains taxes over $243K a year means. This is just more proof PP doesn't care about you.

The economy is grappling with uncertainties, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.
Things are strange right now. The dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?
Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.
Glad to have stumbled on this conversation. Please can you leave the info of your investment advisor here? I’m in dire need for one.
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
Thanks for the advice. The search for your coach was simple. I investigated her well before using her services. Considering her résumé, she appears competent.
The question is how to convert your salary into the investment funnel without double taxation. you pay taxes once it's earned, then buy stocks etc and get taxed again once you sell for gains. How do I skip the first tax stage? I want to invest over 300k on the stock market, how do I achieve this
I have been doing the same thing myself, using the market to shield myself from the market. But I hate making mundane decisions, so I just invest through an advisor, making good profits, avoiding taxes, while doing very little work.
I Can't get into trouble with the IRS when I have no income and all my money is in stocks. I don't like doing the work though. Lol. So I just invest through an advisor who does the stock picking. My money grows, and I'm tax-free.
Please who is the consultant that assist you with your investment and if you don't mind, how do I get in touch with them?
Monica Shawn Marti is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
I looked up her name online and found her page. I emailed and made an appointment to talk with her. Thanks for the tip

In BC they made a new home buyer tax credit which gave everyone $50k for a house. The effect was all the house became immediately $50k more expensive because everyone’s budget just increased that much. Supply and demand.
The more it add to the debt, the more tax, the more everything. This Country is crumbling under massive debt. Poilievre says "keep your hands off my cash" as he swims the parliamentary current to protect his investments, indifferent of the cash strapped Canadians his actions injure.
As someone who works in construction PP is 100% right about the bureaucrats getting in the way. Permits take forever. The changes we are forced to make do not improve the longevity, safety or enjoyment of a home. It only drives up the cost significantly. Desk jockeys don’t build homes. People with tools do
You can thank PP for that and his ilk along with neo liberals that were indifferent to and benefited greatly from real estate developers and the real estate industry being one of the biggest lobbyists in Canada. And how they have great influence on government polices regarding regulating the industry to how cities are zoned and how many are actively rigged to prevent new supply that is needed the most.
What has Poilievre put forward to deal with REITs?
I could take you to suburbs in Vancouver and show you quite a few lots zoned for low multi-dwelling low rises that had permits issued to them two years ago, but nothing started or torn down on them yet oodles of lots zoned for single houses with construction starting as soon as the permits are issued.
Housing developers drool over lots zoned for single homes; not so much for multi-dwelling low rises. More money for them to be made on lots zoned for single family homes and buying up single family homes. Second to that is delaying building on lots zoned for multi-dwellings.
Don’t kid yourself, developers money still floods the political system, but not like it used to in BC yet they and the real estate industry still benefit when a municipality is “reluctant” to allow land to be developed in cities where speculative investing is rampant that benefits speculative investors like PP. Where was PP when there were no limits on the amount of money that development corporations could supply to political parties?
Developers are not the same developers of what we have seen in the past like that of the 70s and 80s; a whole different animal now thank to polices created by economic conservatives in both parties. It’s no secret that there is no lack of developers withholding undeveloped properties from the market in anticipation of greater future gains and want to keep it that way.
There is more than one reason why it is not required by developers to build when they are issued permits by governments.
It's hilarious that Skippy has working people shilling for the rich. How many average Canadians have capital gains in excess of $250k yearly on top of their person income?

I only know two billionaires and I go out with one of them for fish and chips in the summers that owns a brewery that has no issue admitting the percentage of his income that he pays in taxes in the end has plummeted over the last 35 years and credits/thanks the economic conservatives for that. He told me he paid an overall lower tax rate than the warehouse staff at his brewery, which have double the tax burden even after tax credits and deductions are taken into account. I wasn’t surprised, as I already knew that most richest of the rich in Canada don’t make most of their money from payroll and the taxes overall they pay on their declared income is at a rate lower than the average worker.
I am in favour of taxing the wealthy but JT definition on who is rich is ridiculous. The $250K mark for capital gains is not taxing the rich at all. JT is hurting middle class, small business, and families who have saved for years to own a second property or cottage.

I can't stop the government from increasing taxes. What I can do is reduce my spending as much as possible.
Balance the budget by cutting spending!! Encourage jobs so that parents can buy food for their children.. they don't need more bureaucracy to establish a "breakfast program" at schools. Teachers need to teach!!
And background checks on immigration! Slow this globalist agenda nonsense
We don't want to be living on top of each other in cramped, high cost, cheap quality, government housing. We want the government to get out of the way so businesses and public sector can come back and we can build and fix our economy and live non-dependent lives. We need to get out from under the massive wieght of this over burdening government.
How much is Mike Harris’ royalty on “common sense” phrase?
This guy should just rebrand himself a republican. Low taxes for the rich, no environmental protection. Let the private sector fix the housing crisis, the same people that caused the housing crisis. What a shock that Bloomberg is on board. Riches for the rich.
investing in gas and cleaner produced fuel (from Canada) to reduce coal power plants in other countries. Is a way better plan and more effective than a carbon tax silly.

The Republicans sent money to support his convoy. Pp brought coffee and donuts.
Why is the government the arbiter of generational fairness? Why can't hardworking parents decide which children receive their investment/retirirement funds? Why is the government who would redistribute those funds to others or potentially even to other countries? No one has even guaranteed that this money would benefit only Canadians if that's one's worry about fairness for Canadians
Now what about the doctors is he willing to stop taking payments from the college of doctors and surgeons to obstruct educating doctors for Canadians like they have been doing for more than 30 years now
Will he double the spaces in the medical schools
Will he demand that those tax-free government subsidized medical schools educate doctors to practice in Canada a minimum of 5 years before they can go anywhere else.
Liberal/NPD must go!!!

You know with the cost of housing and cost of living , the massive increase in the money supply devaluing the dollar ,
the carbon tax , and now this capital gains tax , why would any young person with talent stay in Canada ?
.
I know many people who are thinking of leaving. Been here since 1960 and this place is going downhill in a beeg hurry
The housing crises and the devalution of earnings has been in the making for decades and so has price gouging collectively disguised as inflation.
Everyone in the comments upset about a capitals gains tax that affects absolutely no one in the comments section. Lmao😂😂
You do know it is a chain reaction right? If the capital gains tax increase, it means housing price will go up because everyone wants to make a profit and not just give it all away in taxes. As a result people will pay higher mortgage which means you pay more rent and new businesses will charge more to offset the rental cost.

The relationship between wages, productivity, and employment in Canada is a complex one. Stagnant wages for both employers and temporary workers have been a topic of concern in recent years. However, the causality between these wage trends and productivity levels is not straightforward.
According to Statistics Canada, productivity growth in Canada has been relatively sluggish since the late 1990s (Statistics Canada, 2021). During this period, real hourly compensation for employees grew at an average annual rate of only 1.3%, while labor productivity increased by an average of 1.5% per year (Statistics Canada, 2021). This shows that wage growth has not kept pace with productivity growth in Canada.
Temporary workers make up a significant portion of the Canadian workforce. According to the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, there were approximately 1.4 million temporary workers in Canada as of 2019, representing about 9% of the total labor force (CCPA, 2020). The wages paid to temporary workers are often lower than those paid to permanent employees (CCPA, 2020). This wage disparity leads to lower morale and motivation among temporary workers, potentially impacting their performance on the job (Brown et al., 2018).and forces down wages for the permanent workers in canadian business .
Moreover, stagnant wages for employers also negatively affects productivity. When employers are unable to pay competitive wages to attract and retain skilled workers, they are forced to rely on less experienced or less qualified employees (CBC News, 2018). This results in decreased productivity due to the learning curve associated with new hires and/or the need for additional training and supervision
However, it is essential to note that correlation does not imply causation. While there is evidence suggesting a link between stagnant wages and decreased productivity by Canadians, it is not clear that one directly causes the other. Other factors such as technological change, skill mismatches in the labor market, and economic conditions also play a role in determining both wage levels and productivity growth in Canada (Baldwin-Edwards & Fanelli, 2017).
This was a good one I like the way he's talking
I love to hear some policy talk for once. Poilievre needs to pivot to a unifying message and a message of hope. So far I like what I’m hearing on his plans.
The vote should be now. Where’s petition E 4701. Almost a 1/2 million signatures.
I don't support Trudeau but the vote should be when it is legally required under our Constitution. We don't just have snap elections or overthrow a govt when a bunch of people stomp their feet and cry because they are not getting their own way. This is a democracy. Also 1/2 million signatures is nowhere near a representation of the nearly 40M people that live in this country. It is only a tiny percentage of the overall population.....again democracy is majority not a bunch of crying loud minority.
A capital gain is not generated by running a business; it’s generated by selling it. If your goal is to run a successful productive business, please keep doing so - with no change in your taxes. Generous new exemptions for startups mean capital gains taxes will fall, not rise, for genuine entrepreneurs. Pierre's misleading working-class Canadians about the capital gains tax.... He pretends to be the Robin Hood of working-class Canadians! Working class Canadians are much smarter than you think Pierre.... They do their own research! Conservatives whenever the friends of working-class Canadians never have been never will be! That's why he voted against the capital gains tax!
So you build that business all your life and want to retire. Because you were building the business as a retirement plan, only to be taxed to death on the sale of it. All the while you have been paying taxes on the income the business generates.
Then you decide to sell your holiday home that you saved an paid for with money that has already been taxed, to only then pay a capital gains tax.
Then your also saving for retirement by investing with your already taxed money to again have to pay capital gains tax.
Sure the best option is to work until you die, so you dont have to pay capital gains tax. Get a life commie.
In your first sentence you err so everything that follows is also wrong. A capital gain is achieved by increasing the value of your business over time, running it well. The gain is actualized when the business is sold.
@@jasperplace you obviously can't read or understood stand you said exactly what I said
