What's the price on these machines these days. The 2016 Kodiak 708 was 6,400 starting out. 8,900 for the Grizzly. I'm guessing around 5,200 for the 450cc
Can you add a pull start mod on this? Other quads with a similar engine displacement allow one to be installed. Thx, would like to know because it gets as low as -50 in my area of the world
You bought one and you’re talking about downhill braking? Are you sure you bought one? With the best engine braking in the world , who needs to apply brakes downhill🤣..also, the front brake is always on the right because you use it less. And if “ your hands are busy “ 🤣, use the foot pedal...I swear these dudes just say shit on here for no reason.
Good review but I noticed that there seem to be a lot of feed back in the handlebars with the power steering. Maybe Yamaha needs to consider a longer steering shaft and lower profile handlebars. I ride a can am 450 with dps and don't experience that vibration in the bars at all. More horsepower would be a big plus as well.
Thanks for your feedback. I did not notice it during my test rides. I have a can am renegade 850 with the 3 dps settings that I can choose depending on how i am riding that day. It would be great to see other oems offer that feature. Yamaha loves customer feedback and make changes so i will pass this along.
2.19 sec.. OMG it's so open. my 2007 had some protection against rocks and dirt making its way into the engine area. I don't like the open look at all.
The 700 is not a 700. It's a 686 and by the time the power gets to the tires it's less than that. Yamaha's 708 was the closest they got to a 700. Keep in mind the 700 is still sitting on a 550 chassis to. Probably why they won't upgrade to a bigger motor they'd have to redesign the whole quad.
Where is the diff lock switch over the red 4x4 on the fly button? Sir , if there is no extra diff lock button ( red button is not ) then it’s not diff lock...
C&H Yeloushan sry man but that’s incorrect info...there’s no diff lock on the ATV you’re riding... diff lock doesn’t take a couple seconds to kick in either... I have the same ATV...4 wheel on the fly.. red button, no diff lock..
My 2018 450 does 56mph and I’m 200lbs.. still good
Great review and especially thanks for the top speed run!
What would you recommend? A Kodiak 700 or a kodiak 450 EPS
I bought a boat from St. John’s, I used to live in interlochen, where are these trails?
Ocala national forest. Not too far from the Rodman dam off hwy 19.
Been thinking of buying this one or the Honda Fourtrax Foremen
Either one is a great choice. I’ve owned both.

What about how easy does it to shift from (H) to (R) when on a bind or any gear for that matter ..... ?????
No issues at all. It is very smooth with no binding.
is the kodiak the same size as the grizzly now?

Not that I'm aware of.
Diff lock?
I just bought one of these. Why is the front brake on the right? Down hill the right hand is doing too much

Front brake on the right is standard with every other motorcycle. Left lever is the clutch on models with a clutch.

that"s not an SE , because the SE comes with diff-lock , still cool vid !
What kind of mileage?
Thanks
no difflock? or is that an option? 2019 had a difflock standard, i thought.

The 2020 has diff lock....the 2019 doesn't
2020

I don't like the open look at all.
It’s not 450 cc , just 450 class. Only 421cc.

Sorry Kyle, yes you are right. The Kodiak 450 does not. I thought you were referring to the 2020 Yamaha wolverine which does.
C&H Yeloushan the 2020 kodiak 450 has diff lock... which the one you’re driving doesn’t...so no 2020 for you
@@susdad , I thought I read on there website that the SE model does have it, in fact it highlighted it several times?
Charles Palmer II it does have it, but this guy doesn’t have that year apparently
Charles Palmer II do you know what the diff lock button even looks like?
You can't feel it shift gears because it has no gears...haha
Travis Burry still has gears ...
Snatch Block it’s a CVT transmission so it doesn’t have gears
@@mrzoov3661 there are still gears in the gearbox they just dont shift lol
@@mrzoov3661 on mine I have the option to shift it into a different gear PRNHL... those are gears
@@andreg1087 how are they gay?
Thx I just got one its noce
you feel you have enough power in 450 to get you out of most "stuff" ?
@@charlespalmerii4299 yes actually combined with the 4wd and a winch on the front its very mobile
This or a cfmoto?
Are you serious ? Buy a TaoTao my brother.. best $100 ever spent
Can’t hear the machine. Kill the damn music!👎
That must not be a 2020 because it doesn't have diff lock.
Yes, this is a 2020 with the diff lock. There is a few second delay but it works very well every time I was stuck.
C&H Yeloushan sry man but that’s incorrect info...there’s no diff lock on the ATV you’re riding... diff lock doesn’t take a couple seconds to kick in either... I have the same ATV...4 wheel on the fly.. red button, no diff lock..
The 2020 kodiak I'm looking at buying doesn't have diff lock
Aaron Byard base model ... we’re talking what’s available for what years, we all know what’s already available
You don’t even need diff lock on a 450 anyways.. not enough power to use it.. stick with a 700cc
Temerature...
