Thanks! The mirror adds a lot of possibilities for the scene. If I decide to do a water pour, and it works out well, I think that would look really good. I appreciate you watching!
Wow. Great job incorporating a mirror into the dry creek bed and a job on forced perception. Thanks for sharing your techniques as I'm sure it will inspire a few new modelers. Cheers from eastern TN
Thanks! I'm happy to share my techniques with anyone who finds them useful. Yes, I think the mirror will and some interest to the scene once it is finished. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I appreciate the sub. The Trans Am may get some interior work in the future but it is about 95% done. I do plan to work on the Olds Rallye 350 this winter, if you like the car stuff. I'm happy with how the North Canyon has come together. I appreciate you watching!
You are really doing a fantastic job. Keeps looking better and better. I think the mirror is going to work out nicely. True test will be after you pour the resin but I think it will work.
Another great job, Steve. The mirror will definitely add some depth and it already forced that front rock deeper into the reflection. You really have an eye for color and detail and I thank you for sharing your techniques.
Thanks Derek! I'm excited about the possibilities with adding trees and grass in the future. And especially a water pour. I hope these videos have given you some ideas for your projects. Nothing I do is difficult, but some techniques do require a bit of practice. Thanks for coming along on the journey!
Your dirt work continues to impress! Nice job getting the lower part of the mirror to meld with dirt. Can't wait to see it w/ vegetation. As for water in the creek rule #1 is always in affect - whatever do will be exactly right
Thanks! Yes, I'll want to do a little research on what guys are doing with the water pour. I've never done it, and I'll only get one shot at it. I'm looking forward to vegetation as well. I was thinking of finishing the canyon with trees, grass and water, but decided to stay with my original plan of finishing all of the rock and groundwork on the layout before starting vegetation. Thanks for coming along on the journey!
Great update and blending/use of colors and material. I really like the mirror application! Glad I found your channel! edit - Oh yeah I subbed and finally this am have binge watched all your videos that I found of interest!
Thanks! I've found that color matching to my backdrop has given the scene depth and I am excited about the possibilities for the mirror when I get to adding additional details to the canyon floor. I appreciate you watching!
Haha, thanks Paul! It's exciting getting to where I'm finishing up the canyon rock painting and groundwork. I'm eager to get my bridges weathered and set back in place. Thanks for watching!
You're welcome! Nothing looks more like dirt than dirt. 🙂 Once it is saturated with scenic glue the surface is hard, so it stays put. As a bonus, it's free! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Robin! I'm looking forward to finishing the North Canyon floor with trees, grass, etc. And I'll probably try a water pour. So it could be nice. But it'll be a while before I get back to that, I want to get all the rock and groundwork done first.
Thanks! I'm excited about the potential for the layout. My layout is a railfan/diorama layout, and I will try to have several key scenes across the layout. Thanks for watching!
You could pull a John Allen and paint the back side of that rock closest to the mirror a different color, so it gives the illusion of being a different rock. I spent a lot of summers sweating in the desert southwest, your rockwork captures it perfectly :)
Thats a good idea about the rock, I might have to do that! I'm trying to get through this summer, hopefully we're getting close to tapering off soon. I'm not a fan of summertime. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I think if I do a water pour it'll really make it work well. I plan to add at least one more mirror to another part of the layout. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Yes, it would be natural for Arizona to have a dry riverbed, so either way would be fine. I'm going to finish up the bridges for the canyon, then move to another section to start work, so I'll have some time to think it over. Plus, I need to learn how to make trees for the canyon floor. I appreciate you watching!
Your scenery work is fantastic! If someone doesn’t know there is a mirror there, I think they won’t notice it.

Just beautiful work. Love your Trans Am also. Subscribed.

Thanks! I agree, the water pour will be the big test. If that works out it could look really good. I appreciate you watching!

@@SPSteve if you are leaning tp pour you might to do a small diorama and do a practice pour
@@ratled1 That's a good idea. I could probably do with a new programming track, and why not have a small river in it? Thanks for the suggestion!
The blending of materials is perfect 👍 !!! 😊
Thanks, Kraig! I tried to blend it into the backdrop to make it less conspicuous.
Oh, thanks on the materials. I'm happy with how it's turned out. I tried to blend the mirror in as well.
Great work with the river and the mirror works well. Great allusion - layout coming on well. Take care Kevin.
Thanks Kevin! I happy with how the mirror is working with the stream bed. In the future I'd like to do a water pour. Thanks for watching!

Your scenery is SOOO realistic, don't be surprised if a group of coyotes move in!
Haha, thanks Paul! It's exciting getting to where I'm finishing up the canyon rock painting and groundwork. I'm eager to get my bridges weathered and set back in place. Thanks for watching!
I can't wait to see that!!
@@paulm.newitt3246 it won't be long. You'll get a preview on Wednesday. 🙂 I appreciate you coming along on the journey!
That looks good, glad you added the mirror.
I think it worked out pretty well. I plan to add a mirror in the west canyon as well. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for setting a fine example to follow! I need to find some dirt! (My yard is all clay)
You're welcome! Nothing looks more like dirt than dirt. 🙂 Once it is saturated with scenic glue the surface is hard, so it stays put. As a bonus, it's free! Thanks for watching!
wow you did a perfect job with the mirror and matching that vegetation to it. I don't see a lot of people using mirrors. congrats!

Your terrain looks incredible!

Very nice! You could go either way with the river. Dry or water it's going to be a sight.

🤠
Pardon my ignorance I'm new to the hobby, but I don't see a mirror
Look to the back of the riverbed, up against the backdrop. I show the mirror multiple times during the video.
If you watch the entire video you'll see it several times.
