I have had my PE800 almost 2 years and have done a hand full of bibs and short all’s for grandson. But basically I am intimidated by the machine. So happy I found your channel and wish I had found it at the start. Just watching you gives me confidence. Mug rug next!
I don't have an embroidery machine but I love love watching your videos I am a quilter tho. We do have a wonderful Brothers dealer hear in Albuquerque called Ryan's Sewing. They are very knowledgeable in every thing embroidery
You are awesome....... I've had my Luminaire since August and LOVE it almost as much as my hubby who insisted I buy it ( he is a keeper and I know it ). I don't know everything about Lucy, but today in this video demo I learned some new trick that will save me a lot of time when I make a boo-boo. Had no idea what that up/down arrow was for. I have been backing up to the beginning of the step by pressing the -1, -10, -100, -1000 buttons! What a time saver the up/down arrows are! Thanks Becky!
I watch you all time. I've learned so much from you. I just got the babylock pathfinder embroidery machine. I purchased the embrillance essential. I would love if you could do a tutorial on it. You're the best teacher. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you! Here's a great tutorial series on Embrilliance. It's how I learned. I highly suggest you watch all four. th-cam.com/video/oV7ABGIwHwM/w-d-xo.html
You mentioned that you put something on your Scan N Cut mat that you adhere your fabric to. What is that? Should we not place fabric directly on the low tack Scan N Cut mat? I learn so much from you. I sure appreciate it!
I was teaching mug rugs to my adult ladies today, I made a few mistakes too! I told them it was no big deal! In the end they all turned out great. Thanks for the demo, I will have them watch this!
Yes, I think showing mistakes is the most important part of teaching. If all a student sees is perfection, they won't know how to handle a problem when it occurs...and it WILL occur! Once they have the confidence to handle anything the machine throws at them, they will become better and better embroiderers with every project. Thank you for sharing your talents with them!
I FIGURED YOU USED THE SCAN N CUT FOR THE HEART PIECES. DID YOU HAVE TO ADD TO THE PIECES ONE TOUCH OR SO OR MAYBE NOT AT ALL? SO THAT THEY MATCH UP WITH THE PLACEMENT LINES WHEN YOU ARE EMBROIDERING THE MUG RUG.
Got my vol 1 & 3.! I read thru all the instructions for both. Glad I did! The 3rd vol requires 2 backing pieces to make an envelope back. It sews the whole perimeter; as volume 1 has only 1 backing piece leaving a 3 inch opening for turning. Wanted to give you a heads up!😊
Becky, where did u get that adorable shirt! The walk a mile in my shoes? So cute!!! And how much? Thanks and love all that bee material. That's called a bee skep. Lol
I got the tshirt on FB from teemcsx. I ordered another one though and it came in with bad graphics and what looked like bleach stains so I can not recommend them. It was almost $40.
I have not had that problem. I don't put it on thick and only use just enough to make sure the piece stays in place. Using a glue stick is an easy way to keep pieces in place especially if where you put the glue it will not be stitched over again.
So i have a question. Limited budget here. Already have a Brother Innovis VQ2400, only a little over a year and still trying to learn it. I was in a quilt shop this past saturday and the person was telling me that if I wanted to Embroider I should have a machine with only Embroidery but I see some that Sew and Embroider as well. What is your opinion?
The machine you have will work just fine for your embroidery projects. Brother makes a great machine that does both and I don't believe that an embroidery only machine would do any better than the one that you have right now.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Well girl I have tried to embroider on it however it will not let me enlarge not even a name. It will write it but it's like on a default. Got any tricks up your sleeve?
Despite the malfunctioning chip and filming snafus, all of your heart mug rugs are so, so cute!! Lori Holt's instructions for her design board are on her blog: Bee in My Bonnet. Have a wonderful day!

Really like the black fabric. It makes everything pop.
I made my Lori holt boards out of sticky back foam board, no need for glue gun or fabric edge binding as the fabric holds in place really well.
All your instruction, tips and "don't worry" are all so important! You give out confidence!!
Love your tee shirt saying. Your board is neat
Oh I love that. So cute. Thanks for the video.

Just got back from Austin and Embroidery Club at Sew Much More. They demoed a reading pillow & bookmarks. Always learning! Thanks!
That is such a cute design. I need to get busy. There are so many different things I want to make. 😊
Cute mug rug. As I've said before I don't have an embroidery machine but love watching you create!
Don't you think it's time to put that on your list? ;)
@@PowerToolsWithThread I'd have to win the lottery!
Great tutorial. That was so cute. Thanks!

Every time I sit down at that machine I feel like I learn something! Awesome machine!
@@PowerToolsWithThread I think you need to keep it!

Thank you for doing this series Becky! I am learning so much! I have a PE770 and don’t use it a lot. This is inspiring me!
Get busy girl! That PE770 is a great little machine and is sad sitting all unused... :)

Yes, I like the envelope back. There's a trick to doing that on Vol 1 as well. Think I will show it soon. Enjoy!
I want to learn more about the Brother Scan and Cut 👍
So pretty love this cute project
Great explanation and hints. Thank you.
OESD has a design CD or online QUILTING design of BEES-!! So cute and NO HIVES(itching)!!

“Don’t put your fingers in the sewing field like me”. 😂😂😂
ha ha Do as I say...Not as I do! :)
Does your needle get sticky with the glue? Love your videos. I can't wait to do the Santa table runner with you in September.

I don’t embroider. But had to see part three after all your issues
Can you make mug rug on any embroidery machine
hi i want to ask a Q please
can i use a hoop size 6*10 for a design made by 5*7 hoop because I don't have 5*7 hoop
Yes you can!

Kimberbell Mug Rugs can be done in a 5x7.

As soon as I finish the project I'm working on, this one is next - I'm doing the Cardinal.
I did the Cardinal last year and it's hanging in my LQS as a demo. Please post your finished project in our FB group!
I am not good with the hot glue gun either.
please DO NOT use glue stick. the needle does not like it.
Thanks Benny. I've never had a problem with the glue stick but that may be good advice for others. Appreciate your input. :)
