I love this new era of dubs being chaotic and playing to the stengths off english colloquialism and becoming it's own thing instead of strictly following the og and attempting to completely recreate that, makes sub and dub different in good ways.
Honestly this dub is so chaotic that since I didn't read the whole title I thought this was some sort of abridged version or smth
Growing up in Mexico, our dubs have been doing this since I can remember. DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon have had little pop culture references or localized jokes.

Well subs are basically to me lawful chaotic, very energetic and cartoony when they're reacting but their manner of speaking in conversation is usual calm and kinda slow like they're prolonging their "eto" and their "is that so?"s. So it feels like they're they have set rules. Most dubs nowadays are usually just chaotic chaos which I adore.
This. I feel og Miri sounds more like a kid, but English dub Miri captures that energy to a perfect T.

I find it so funny that people say Miri is annoying or just a stereotypical version of a kid, but honestly she's the most realistic anime child I've seen. Like, so many people say that Anya is better, and I agree, character-wise Anya makes a lot of sense, but Miri, as a child, is more realistic. I'm just hoping that they add the common, 'annoying\i won't listen to you' phase because It'd be funny

Honestly, I love it. Yes, she's might be annoying as child. Think about it we we're all once as her age like that. We were once annoying like her age too. You guys have to remember, she's 4 year's old. She's doesn't have supernatural powers or anything. Just regular 4 year being 4 year's old. Her daddies, they're just pro assassin's very hot ones which it's A+++ for her lol.
If anything, Miri has more of a character arc than Anya does

did some math to see how much exactly it would be. if we say rei weighs 75kg/~165lbs and an ak-47 weighs 5kg/~11lbs when fully loaded, and a child around 3 or 4 years old (wasn't sure how old miri is exactly) weighs maybe 30kg/~66lbs, THAT MEANS MIZUKI CAN LIFT 110KG/~242lbs WHILE RUNNING AT FULL SPEED (not taking into account the recoil of the gun and the fact that's he's under attack too)!!

So, whenever I would manage to hear him in a new anime, it always made me so happy. He always seemed to do an amazing job with whatever role he was given. Clannad will always be my favorite as far as what he voiced in.
I met him at a convention a few years ago. Told him he was the best at voicing jerks. He cracked up laughing and thanked me.

This anime is decibels on the realistic bizarre side, but the fact they don’t openly ship the two men raising the little girl makes this very interesting as it rests more on their personalities and backgrounds and how they deal with the day to day. It’s unique and frankly adorable and wholesome.

As someone who watched the sub, the dub on this one is actually pretty faithful dialogue wise. I just think the VAs just emphasized the chaos a little more, but in terms of what was said it’s pretty spot on.

The English Dub is 100% worth it. I usually hate dubs, but it is a very natural one. They use colloquialisms and the deadpan/hysteria combo is just hilarious.

The new chaotic way dubs have been sounding is surprisingly less grating. I’m a hardcore sub person to this day but honestly the newer dubs have been seriously funny and don’t even sound all that bad. Nice to see a good change from the usual ^^
