Just got a blue one to add to the collection! Gorilla taped the inside of the body and printed roof skids for it. Seems pretty tough now....time will tell. Going to run it stock until the motor goes, then its getting a spare brushless setup i have laying around. Love the sunpension cam footage you got!
Good idea with the Gorilla Tape! It is still pretty fun stock! drive it until it breaks then upgrade :)

Body protectors won't prevent the body from ripping around the rear top. The body is some kind of PVC. Especially when it gets a bit colder, it'll shear. Clear body set is -apparently, proper polycarbonate. However.. for what it cost me, I'm not complaining. A lot of truck for the money. Actually waterproof too. Great, given that I live in a place where 'rain' is the base-setting during fall and winter..
The suspension clearly is in its element off road. On-road it feels too soft, indeed.
The body protectors were actually helping a bit through some bashes and crashes. They aren't the end all be all for protection though. Temps dropped up here in MA and my body started flaking in some random spots unfortunately

I get what you’re saying... It all depends on where you drive it. While driving it in my back yard it was plenty fast, but when I brought it to RCM on the bigger 8th scale dirt track it felt much slower
