see you gotta play 1v1s in creative every time before you play ranked. Play for 20 mins against someone whos better than you or someone who makes you work for it.
The raider 464 1v1 map is what i use. If i get matched against someone whos not as good as me, i just find a new opponent. I regularly come up against players who are a 10x better than me. Thats real practice.
And when you die, ask yourself, what did i do wrong? go into replays for your ranked game and see how you die and what you could've done to improve. A lot of people tend to make excuses like ping or fps or whatever.. don't do that and focus on your mistakes.
Another tip is that the 'wall' building peice is the most important building piece in the game. Practice placing 'high walls' (search it on YT if u dont know what that is) everytime you fight and trust me you'll be better.
