I used to drive a BMW 120i LCI in the same configuration and I absolutely loved it.
I have the 125d version with 224hp is a bit faster than 120d .. And is also limited at 250kmh. But with a fresh ecu remap you solve the problem✌🏾. Nice car👍🏾
I own the same car like the one in the video. I think it's a fast enough for daily driving. No remap needed.

It's not bit faster, it looks like you are talking about M140.
How about the Fuel consumption at the 125 d ? I also drive the 120d lci and it needs 5.6 Liters on 100km

240 km/h and fuel consumption 12 l / 100 - I can travel this way.
The real speed is 220 km/h, the speedometer of this car is not accurate.
The 120d can go 228 km/h, but with xdrive only 222 km/h

Me too! Same car , but I put it on dynos and does 182bhp instead of 190... the expert told me that every 120d they put in dynos never reach 190. I was not happy to know that... so I decided to remap😅
@@diegobrown5938 My 220d F22 B47 manual had 204 ps and 405nm on the dyno with stock ecu, mperformance intercooler and sprintfilter supercompetition mounted on; it depends on many factors, also the quality of the fuel is very important, I always run it on premium diesel for example.

@@vinzenzm5463 mine gives me 4.8L/100km on the open road and sometimes lighter and for day to day driving in suburban areas i get an average of 6.1L/100km.

To anyone owning this car - how is the road- and wind noise at highway speeds (around 130-14 kmh)?
Would you recommend this as a good daily? But also little bit of fun
After 220km/h the car drops all the power. Also can’t understand why bmw automatic gearboxes doesn’t upshift to the last gear when at maximum speed. Anyway excellent drive ! I’ll subscribe to your channel
I think because he was driving with the gearbox in sport mode. You will notice that towards the end with the car at almost 240kph. He shifted to auto mode and the revs dropped while the car went to a higher gear. Top speed remained almost the same though
The reason its stuck at 230kmh is because the vmax is limited in the ecu. Obviously a remap can solve this, and also add around 40hp and 100nm
The reason is the missing power. My 320d on Stage 1 180ps runs about 230kmh on 18' tires. So this Car has a bit more than 190hp.
iTzGaM3R nope, stock B47 20d actually runs less than 190HP on a dyno, usually 165-175hp.

this machine cannot provide the necessary support, to 8. gear at max speeds!
And the 8. gear cannot contribute to the top speed!..
But I guess, if you manually switched to 8 like 2_20,, you would have reached the top speed more quickly.

Max you are right. It is limited to 230kmh, GPS speed. I own the previous gen F20 N47D20 120d, 2014. It's limited from factory.

My 120d had a stage 1, now also goes above to 248gps. From factory it didn't.

Its a N47 because its a Diesel ;-)
@@nolimitautobahn4537 B47 is the "new" BMW 2.0 diesel (B47D20a / B47D20b) engine introduced in late 2014, replacing the N47N. The B prefix is used in both petrol and diesel engines now, maybe that is why you are confused.

If I remember right the modern 120d have a speed limiter at 238kph- so could be more an electronic “issue”

BMW 2.0d isnt very fast but after a remap it is very impressive, much more impressive than a remapped tdi for example
120d is not meant to be a sports car. Its supposed to be a good economical all rounder
