While looking at the Toole's Heirloom Plum, some of you might be wondering why I did not prune out all the water sprouts while I was pruning. The answer it that lots of people are requesting scion wood this year, and those water sprouts will be my source for scion. I know that I'm not keeping it as clean as I should under the tree. But, I'm letting it sucker so that I have root stock for my personal grafting projects this winter and for giving to people who have asked for suckers. God bless. Marcus
